Hmm, I hope not. What I mean by Authors are not entities that can actually exist for us. They are the true creators of us all, and- unlike you- cannot truly exist inside the stories they create.

An interesting thought popped into my head.

I summoned Ben and Zura, but not Lunamor from THI- that would cause too many paradoxes. They stood beside me, looking incredibly puzzled. I willed them to understand the situation and their looks of confusion evaporated.

Replay can cause others to have flashbacks of moments in their life at will. He has minor control over what they see, decent range, and can affect multiple people at once. His weakness is romance, whether actual or in a book. He carries a sword and a knife.

But that was the problem. I hadn’t written any characters. I was a existential-crisis detective here to solve a murder, I had never written any character. So did that mean I was a character? Wait, but what if I wrote something! Quickly I took out my dtetcive handbook and scrawled something on the beige pages.

Character: Meta-character

Personality: Umm, we’ll just say he’s smart, and strong and stuff.

Weaknesses: a character

Backstory: written by me.

I focused on the thing I had just wrote, channeling the power and suddenly Meta-character appeared I front of me. I hadn’t put any description into his appearance so it constantly was changing to what everyone thought of him, similar to mine. I waved, and Meta-character waved back.

“Wait, so you’re my character, right?” Meta-character nodded.

“Yeah, I’m your character, but you are also someone else’s character, which means you just created the first character who’s now got a character. You literally created a meta-character. Hence, me. Meta-character.” My mind was spinning. It was Writer-ception. Did that mean there were multiple levels of reality? I was a Writer now I could summon characters, but I was a character. But I was as also written in first person!

So who was I? Did I even exist? My existential crisis I was so known for began to happen, my appearance flickering in and of of reality.

Ben wandered off to see if anyone had suffered trauma from the murder that he could heal. Zura pulled out a knife and started flipping it, seeking a higher vantage point.

”Is everyone here ok? I’ve got a healer now if they need it. The attacker didn’t hurt anyone else, right?”

That is correct; I am writing what I would do in that circumstance. It's still me, just a different version of my past. Similar to Forgery.

Grudgingly, Diona thought about that. "Ene seemed a bit mentally unstable freaked out, but she was taken away in an ambulance. So far as I know, everyone else is unhurt."

On one hand I was relieved that no one else was hurt, but on the other I was worried for Ene. Would she be ok after this? Mental injuries tend to be rather hard to heal.

Zura hopped down and started throwing knives as high as she could to see if she could catch them. She stopped once one got embedded in the ceiling.
