Ya know, I could see them doing something like this. Personally, as a big music buff, I really enjoyed that the Fire Emblem amiibo support for 3H gave you map themes from their respective games for use in auxilary battles.

As far as the Jugdral headcanon goes, there is some stuff to go off of there, (Brigid, Holy Blood), Isn't Marth implied to be a descendent of Seliph's? That would place Genealogy of the Holy War and Thracia 776 as distant prequels to Shadow Dragon and Mystery of the Emblem, would it not?

Canonically the Judgral games take place centuries - if not millennia - before Marth's games. They're in the same world, but on vastly different continents. Also, Tiki compares Chrom to an ancestor of his in her supports with Robin I believe. I also believe that the ancestor in question was Sigurd. So yes, Marth, Chrom, and Lucina are all related to Sigurd, but there's millennia separating the two. That's enough time for the continent to change and things to happen.

In terms to the music, I don't think that should change, but I just like characters to interact too. Both would be the ideal honestly.

Is there a connected Fire Emblem timeline or something? I'm very new to the series and I WANT MORE.

Very loosely. But here's the total breakdown.

There are sixteen mainline games in this franchise:

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light (FE 1) Famicom (LOOK AT THAT PANTLESS MARTH.)

350?cb=20190307003840

Fire Emblem: Gaiden (FE 2) Famicom

347?cb=20170509025654

Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Fire Emblem (FE 3) SNES

277?cb=20200221034408

Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War (FE 4) SNES

276?cb=20200221205731

Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 (FE 5) SNES

350?cb=20200220013414

Fire Emblem: Binding Blade (FE 6) GBA

350?cb=20200221165105

Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword - also known as Fire Emblem in the west, since it was the first title officially released outside of Japan (FE 7) GBA

350?cb=20200221171456

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones (FE 8) GBA

350?cb=20200221210534

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (FE 9) GameCube

350?cb=20200221183727

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (FE 10) Wii

350?cb=20200221213148

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (FE 11) - this is a remake of FE 1. DS

350?cb=20120809183505

Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem ~ Heroes of Light and Shadow ~ (FE 12) - this is a remake of FE 2. DS

350?cb=20200221214324

Fire Emblem Awakening (FE 13) 3DS

350?cb=20160122022537

Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright/Conquest/Revelation (FE 14) - all are collectively referred to as FE 14 or Fates. 3DS

latest?cb=20150511140441

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia (FE 15) - This is a remake of FE 2. 3DS

350?cb=20170118222651

Fire Emblem: Three Houses (FE 16) Switch

307?cb=20200221221108

If you've played Super Smash Bros: Marth is from FE 1/11 & 3/12; Roy is from FE 6; Robin, Lucina, and Chrom are from FE 13; Corrin is from FE 14; and as you know, Byleth is from FE 16.

Now onto the timeline.

There's a very loose connection. Of the sixteen games, roughly nine of them take place within the same universe.

In this timeline:

FE 4/5 are the earliest events. They take place on the continent of Jugdral.

FE 1/11, 2/15, and 3/12 happen centuries - if not millennia - later on the continents of Archenea and Valentia. These are Marth and Alm's games respectively. Alm's story takes place between Marth's two stories, so they are contemporaries of each other.

Roughly 2000 years after Marth's timeline Fire Emblem Awakening takes place and tackles the story of Marth's descendants. There are slight* connections to FE 9-10 here, but many choose to ignore them, since they can cause more headaches than they're worth.

Weirdly connected to this timeline via magical multiverse gates - yes, they are canon - is the Fire Emblem Fates world (which doesn't have a name...in fact, neither does the continent you play on). It's unclear if this all takes place in the distant past of the Awakening world or its future, but the two ARE connected. Don't think too hard about it though.

That's the end of the really connected stuff.

FE 9 & 10 form a duology on the continent of Tellius. FE 7 is a prequel to FE 6, and convers the story of Roy's father Eliwood and Lilina's father Hector. These two games take place on the continent of Elibe.

FE 8 takes place in a completely different world (on the continent of Magvel), as does FE 16. HOWEVER, given all of the references to FE 4 in Three Houses, I think they're on the same continent. Granted, there's no proof so it's just my head-canon, but that's enough.

TL;DR - So, yeah, only about half of the games are connected. A "Grand Fire Emblem Connection" theory does pop up every now and again. In those cases, FE 9-10 are the earliest recorded events, followed by FE 6-7, FE 4-5, and then the normal timeline. Also, Heroes is non-canon and messes things up more, so discount whatever it says (although it did do ONE thing right, and that was allow for the Post-VW!Claude, Post-AM!Dimitri, and Post-CF!Edelgard to meet and have a civil discussion. It turns out that Heroes was the Golden Route/Ending we were looking for the entire time).

I think I'm developing an OT3 with Edelgard, Petra, and Claude. I think it's because Edelgard and Claude could make a great couple (similar ideas, mutual respect, flirting and overall fun chemistry...yeah, it's pretty easy to imagine) while Petra and Claude do make a great couple (similar ideas, mutual respect, lighter flirting; and their paired ending gives both of them what they want while also being really happy). I don't think Edelgard and Petra have the...chemistry (or respect as peers, really), but I'd like to see them try it out.

Interesting. I'm wondering if I should make any supports that don't exist... any suggestions?

Seteth and Shamir or Felix and Edelgard. Other than that, whichever you feel like you'd like to see.

@The Awakened Saladhad a convo like that a couple pages back. Just have fun with it and we'll all have fun!

Edit: While on the topic, I don't think I've said it here yet, but I switched my "Silver Route" things around and added a fifth path, one where Rhea and Edelgard team up against TWSITD. To access it during NG+, one needs to pick the Black Eagles and have Edelgard reach a B+ Support with RHEA. The supports go as follows:

C Support - Rhea would decide to tutor Edelgard in how to use the Crest of Seiros wisely, when she mentions something in the younger woman reminds her of herself.

B support -

Spoiler

Edelgard accidentally activates the Crest of Flames, leading to Rhea FREAKING OUT over how that happened. Edelgard runs away, unavailable to be used until...I'm not sure when. Maybe after Jeralt's death

B+ Support -  Edelgard comes back ready to defend herself when Rhea surprises Edelgard in a rare moment of honesty.

Spoiler

Rhea knows what that Edelgard's siblings were killed, and she knows exactly how that feels. Rhea knows Edelgard has secrets, but if the ones who killed Edelgard's siblings and gave her that extra Crest are the ones who killed Rhea's family...maybe they have more in common than just a Crest This leads to Edegard

Spoiler

confessing to being the Flame Emperor and everything else off-screen so when the surprise happens at the tomb/throne, it turns into a trap for TWSITD.

The rest of the game would be about them fighting together against said Underground Mole People (so we can explore more of their culture) and whatnot.

In their A support, Edelgard and Rhea would admit that they're more alike than separate. I honestly have no idea if that would (or should) lead to them being like sisters to each other, mother-and-daughter, or...dare I say it...lovers...but I know that their paired ending would involve the complete destruction of TWSITD, a change from the Crest based system to a meritocracy, and the newly united Adrestian Empire officially repairing its relationship with the Church of Seiros.

What happens to Claude and Dimitri on these paths? Well...

Spoiler

TWSITD turn to Almyra for allies, as their plans in Fodlan have fallen apart. They ally with Almyra, and now Fodlan must face off against an invasion from its neighbors. Claude would become a major antagonist in this route. I haven't thought too much other than that, but the more I ponder it, the more the geopolitical landscape would require DRAST changes due to the effects.

Dimitri would be turned into a giant Demonic Beast, as is fitting, considering his "boar" persona. Maybe Dedue would turn into one as well? I have no clue.

Rhea would be a playable unit during this route, and it would be AWESOME.

GO FOR IT! Who do you have in mind for the first few of those?

Well, first of all I need Sylvain/Felix/Ingrid (for obvious reasons). Then I need Felix/Dimitri/Dedue (show that he's strong by not attacking Dedue only when Dimitri isn't around). Then maybe Mercedes/Annette/Lorenz (I might not bother with that one). Bernadetta/Marianne/Annette (both the un-people-persons being given "work hard" boot camp by Annie).

Don't forget Claude/Dimitri/Edelgard!

Other than that...I could see Felix/Caspar/Raphael as the Train Hard Bros...there's Raphael/Ashe/Ignatz as the Knight Bros (I'd love to see Ashe try to convince Ignatz and Raphael that being a knight isn't always a bad thing...and then come to accept that it isn't their dream, so he shouldn't try to force it on them.)

...Dorothea/Leonie/Ashe as the not-really-noble team.

Ashe/Bernadetta/Dedue as the Gardeners, Lorenz/Ferdinand/Constance as Team Noble...Petra/Shamir (or Cyril)/Dedue as the Foreigners, Constance/Annette/Mercedes as My Friend's (other) Best Friend.

Seteth/Flayn/Rhea...so many juicy pieces of lore!

Alois/Seteth/Gilbert - Gilbert needs to be roasted by ALL THE DADS.

OT3 Fanservice Section:

Claude/Edelgard/Petra - I need that OT3!

Edelgard/Ferdinand/Hubert - I'm sure somebody would want it.

Dimitri/Dorothea/Byleth (of either gender) - I want another OT3...?

Rhea/Catherine/Byleth (of either gender) - Catherine gets Rhea, Rhea gets Byleth, Byleth gets Catherine...

Catherine/Shamir/Byleth (of either gender) - Somebody help me...I can't stop...this is just fan-service now...

Byleth/Marianne/Rhea - This one's just for me.

Byleth/Dimitri or Claude/Seteth - Bylass won't be left out!

The final two would have endings where Byleth

Spoiler

marries the first person, but since s/he lives a supernaturally long life, goes on to marry the second person a century or so after their first spouse passes away. OF NATURAL CAUSES.

...I like these, but I always worry that the interactions will make everyone fall back into their character quirks, and sometimes I want to dig deeper than that...hmm...

Have you heard the Owain theory for Fates? that's my current headcanon for that particular timeline.

I've heard a couple. Which one are you thinking of?

I can't take credit for the idea. I stole it from this.

It's the theory that the entirety of Fates' story and universe is purely just more of Owain's dramatic ramblings that he self-inserted himself and his 2 good friends into. Hence why Fateslandia has no canon name, and it helps account for many of the plot holes left behind by some of Fates' *ahem* stranger decisions...

Ha! I can believe it. It's not my theory or one I think is true, but I could totally believe it.

After picking up Three Houses for the first time in a while, and it's been going well. Hilda has relearned Bolting (FINALLY!) so I can turn her into either a Dancer (unlikely) or a Mortal Savant (more likely) during my next GD run, and Dimitri is officially a Holy Knight! Despite his other stats being Holy Knight ready for months in-game (and months between playing), I still needed to get his Faith to B+ before it took. Humorously, despite having most of the qualifications, he wouldn't promote to the class until AFTER the Battle of Gronder (which was really funny because the success rate was 88% when he failed before Gronder Field and 88% when he passed after Gronder Field). My head-canon is that Dimitri's state of mind was preventing him from passing the test.

As a random aside, I hope someone mods the game someday so that I can have two Byleths and they can have separate endings. That way I wouldn't have to start a completely separate playthrough in order romance Dimitri or Marianne/Shamir/Constance...

I can't find the exact video where it comes from. I know it's Anime Impulse, but I don't know which Three Houses interview it is. Someday when I have more time I'll probably watch them all to find it.

I recognize some of the clips, like Hubert's comes from a video where Robbie Daymond just says inspirational quotes menacingly. (Quality comedy right there)
