“Yeah. He’s a mystery. Don’t know much about him.” He held out his hand to her. “I may not know where I am, or even what tomorrow will bring, but it’s good to meet you, Sam.”

"Like-wise Nael." Sam said taking his hand and holding on maybe a little longer than necessary. Pulling her hand away with a slight blush she half-stammered, "maybe we could work together or something?"

“I’d like that,” he said. Then he saw she was blushing, and felt his face growing warm as he did the same.

Okay, yeah, but if the tavern is going to keep getting destroyed, I'm not going to be able to keep rebuilding it.

"You say no has been able to harm you? Well it seem to me that the best way to do you harm would be to forget you, yes? As a Feruchemist I can store all my memories of you into a metalmind, and then destroy it to erase my memory of you entirely. I don't know why it is you want to be remembered so badly, but perhaps that would incline you to go ruin someone else's day."

Fae looked at the outline again, "Or perhaps someone with a Shardblade could put a chink in your bravado. I'm really not sure."

The Haunt paused, seemed to shrink for a second. “Don’t forget me,” it said. “Shardbearers can’t hit what they can’t see but forgetting me?” It hadn’t known it had been that obvious. “Please,” it said, and even though it’s voice was a hushed whisper anyway this seemed quieter.

Nael ran a hand through his hair. “C-Can I get you something?” he stuttered.

"I don't intend you harm, Haunt. But you're really making life rough for the proprietor. Just try not to make more of a mess. What's your story anyway?" Fae said, sitting back down and taking a sip of her drink.

Freyja whistled softly in the breeze. Her bulky form, owing largely to her gathered dress and coat swayed and the numerous pocket watches clinked. She was slightly travel stained and was tired of eating the same bread, cheese, and dried fruit but times were tough. Her last job didn't go as planned and her spren, Laecrien, didn't let her forget her current predicament. "Why do you always do this?" lamented Laecrien. "I could've been making my renowned cutlery and armoires! But no! The Ring had to vote me in and send me to you! A foolish girl who can't control herself in most situations!" Freyja gave Laecrien a sidelong glance and kept whistling. Suddenly, they saw a sign with the words, "Odd Job Tavern." "You think this would be a good place to stop for a bite?" said Freyja. Laecrien sighed. "Well it can't hurt to check it out. J-just be careful."

Freyja entered the establishment, saw the board inside and went to the barkeep. "I see you are looking for a mercenary for hire type deal? Well, how do I fit? And how about a glass of ale?"

"Now is not really the best time, fair warning, here's your ale. The job board is over in the corner, with people looking for jobs and people looking for workers both there. Feel free to examine the listings or fill out the forms next to the boards to post one of your own. The form asks for your name, preferred type of job, payment methods and price, and powers/skills/abilities you have." Malu finishes the pour right as he ends the sentence and sets a large glass of ale in front of you.

"Thank you kindly!" Says Freyja as she drinks the ale in one gulp. "I'll just fill out my skills and wait to here from you?"

After a few minutes, Freyja finishes filling out her form.

Not the whole sheet, you're not supposed to have spoiler tags in the signatures, but a one line description works and is recommended.

Glasses stopeped shattering as The Haunt grew to a normal size again, with its swirling dust outline. Story, she wanted to know his story? Attention! He had a story, and she would pay attention. He would be noticed. Especially after her threats of forgetting him, he paused, subdued.

“Theee hundred years of isolation,” he said quietly. “Of being a spren. And no one noticed, until I began to move things. Little things. Like knives. And then they noticed me, but they bled out too fast to tell anyone else,” it was clear from his tone of voice he was not sane, but with the attention of the woman, he began to grow less desperate, and the insanity that came with being ignored faded away. “I don’t need to tell you my story,” he snapped. He hated that he was so easily used, because of his need to be noticed.

“The world will know my name, woman, and you will too. Just wait, and you’ll see. Just wait. Everything will burn with my name.”

Zan walked in, he figured with the sign burnt into the door and the cracked windows that this place would at least be interesting. He walked over to an empty spot on the bar and sat down waiting for the barkeeper to come by.

Wow, everyone really likes sitting at the bar. Really glad I invested in an extra-long bar! Also I should probably make an actual floormap of this place at some point.

Malu walks towards the stool you sat at. "What can I get for you today?"

The Haunt would be very bitter. He got turned into a spren, and an invisable, unnoticeable one as well, so he would think that all other spren have it easy, as they can be seen and noticed, and, uh, aren’t insane :P But as long as the spren doesn’t ignore him, he should be fine. Ignoring him makes him the insane, stuttering, crazy and usable Haunt. But if someone notices him, he becomes normal.

Hmmmm, that makes me think I shouldn't send Katki to talk to him. Wait a second, what kind of spren is The Haunt anyway? Is he bondable?

Quote

It could be entertaining. The Bane the Nightwatcher gave him was to be unnoticeable, and so the best way she could do that was turn him into his own kind of spren, with the downsides of all other spen. So he’s like a hybrid, made by the Nightwatcher to serve her Bane. As for being bondable, RAFO. :P Jk, as a spren, I’m pretty sure he could be bonded, I’m just not sure whether there would be any advantage to the person who bonded him. Like, what powers would the Haunt even give to to someone who was bonded to him?

"Fair enough." Malu pulls a bottle of Alethi orange and pours you a cup. "Enjoy. If you need anything else, just wave at me and I'll be over as soon as I can."

Lol, I meant to just start a fight and I accidently turned it into a plot.

It's like the time I had Hellbent kill himself when I started out the post him ripping out a few nonlethal spikes...
