+Ark1002
How can someone lose investiture? I want to know different ways, because I think it could be a big plot device.

goody153
Hemalurgy is a good one. I think Nightblood also causes overall net decay(cause investiture is a goner on whoever he obliterates)

Sherlock Holmes he/him
Oh, funny, everyone. Ark, I told you that the Nightwatcher is convenient for these sorts of things.
Quantus he/him
They can usually give it away voluntary. They can use it up. Depending on the type of Investiture it might just plain leak out (Stormlight innately tries to do this). They can "destroy" it's container, releasing it back to the spiritual realm (like if you eat something with breaths in it). Nightblood and Larkin can straight suck it out of you. Hemalurgy will destroy some in the initial process, and will leak out over time. There are several ways to turn matter into Investiture, so I have to think somewhere there is a conjurer magic that would let you create permanent objects from pure Investiture, but it's going to be a massive cost along the lines of us type to create tiny individual particles with massive colliders and whatnot via reletivity-level conversions. RShara she/her
Can you be more specific as to what you're looking for?
Sherlock Holmes he/him
He wants for his Investiture to be gone, since he’s spiked himself a ridiculous amount of times, and doesn’t want to die when the Era ends in the Alleyverse RP. Oooh. Hmmm, Yank them out while being hit with a Regrowth Fabrial to restore the damaged spiritweb? Instead of the fabrial, perhaps get short-term a loan of Breaths to the 5th heightening, for much the same reason? Talk a depressed Returned into making their Final Sacrifice? What happens when the Alleyverse Era ends?
Sherlock Holmes he/him
Most of the characters die, especially powerful ones, and we do a small timeskip, introducing new characters (with lower power levels) and players. Ah, cool, that makes sense, thanks. Ya, F-Gold (and by extension spiritual healing methods like Regrowth) lets you survive being spiked, I think it would equally let you survive having the spikes removed. A loan of a medallion or fabrial (or direct treatment by a Radiant with Regrowth) would probably be the easiest way to go about it, since you'd want something temporary. Or you could probably Soulstamp them away, reversing the choice to get them in the first place, but then you'd have to maintain the stamp (is Dor accessible in the Alleyverse?)
