Farewell Alleyverse! (Adopt a character!)

Hello guys! I'm leaving the Alleyverse now, (maybe not necessarily the Shard)

So the reason I'm leaving is because Alleyverse RP just isn't fun anymore, I don't know exactly when this happened, but it just straight up became stressful because I'm a weird guy. Like being excited when I woke up and then literally actually shaking as I check the responses because I'm both nervous and excited at what might've happened, and that was extremely draining. Sometimes I was unable to find the motivation to do anything else. Sometimes too when I find out that some character died, I'd get real stressed out because, like I said before, I'm weird.

I took a short break by just posting when needed, and then I came back just a few days ago because I felt like I wanted to come back, when I did, it felt both exciting and nerve wracking again, and I just fell into a pit of exhaustion.

But, to be clear I don't regret the experiences I had here, they were genuinely fun to have and I met one of my closest friends because of this, so for that I'm very thankful!

So now, here are my characters that are up for adoption! Check also their actual character sheets in the character thread for more info. (uhh, first come, first serve though, I guess?) once you decide to take a character, just @Cyanic me! I'll be PMing the adopters with certain non-known facts and backstories for the characters that they chose, but please feel free to tweak and change these characters to your liking! I would say to not kill them/let them die, but I can't really police that, so do whatever you want c:

Deras (my first character, I created him because no one's made a Lifeless character yet. Later on, I planned to make him a sort of slayer, like an expy of Doom Slayer):

Other Abilities (beyond the one provided in the sheet):

Aegis of the Deathless - a strong piece of powered armor that combines many different Cosmere Investitures together
*Aonic Shielding
*shardplate base
*augmenter fabrials on the shardplate to make it stronger
*an awakened fabric skeleton whose command is to increase the wearer's strength
*a thick layer of aluminum just below the Aonic shielding that can nullify emotional allomancy and other powers of the like.
*a fog machine on the shoulders. The fog machine does nothing but makes smoke in the form of a cloak to look cool.
*his faceplate doesn't have any slits or openings, but has a HUD and is completely transparent. (he doesn't need to breathe anyway)

Epic Abilities:
*Worldshifting - he can worldhop to different planes of reality, it's how he got to the Alleyverse in the first place. It's useless on his Earth because it can only be used to hop to different worlds, but in the Alleyverse, he can use it to shift between all three realms. The Cognitive Realm lets him travel like an Elsecaller, and shifting to the Spiritual Realm lets him teleport even faster (technically he can also use that to time travel, but I haven't done that and never had any intention to do that)
*Exponential Physiological Augmentation - bit of a doozy this one, and not too sure what the actual concrete abilities are for this yet. Basically it increases his strength, speed, durability, just everything about his body based on how strong/fast/durable/etc. he is in the current moment.
*Force and Velocity Redirection - the strength of this ability is dependent on the previous one. He can redirect the force and velocity of a certain object that he touches.

Shardblade - Given by BitBitio, it takes only 5 heartbeats, but anyone can hear the screams of the spren except for himself. Ask Bit for more info!

facts:

-He's a Lifeless Epic who came from Earth. He has a unique type of spren that he attracts when he's faced with the forces of Chaos: They're called furyspren and look like intense red flames bursting from around him.
-He can sometimes hear the songs of a Parshendi because of his Parshendi strength spikes (these songs are in the for of the OST for Doom if he's currently furysprenning XD)
-His Epic weakness was drowning (not being submerged in water), but since he's a Lifeless now, he can't technically drown. That's up for interpretation though.
-He looks Alethi, but is actually from Southeast Asia from Reckoner Earth
-He remembers certain things like what space ships are, what guns are, but he can't really remember other things from Earth

Personality: Likes being thorough and efficient. Dislikes when people are killed and wishes to help as much people as he can. For enemies that he doesn't kill, he incapacitates them in a brutal way, usually breaking their limbs or greying them out with his shardblade

Backstory:

Before the Alleyverse, he was a low level Epic, just trying to survive. He made the mistake of angering a High Epic that he couldn't fight back against and he escaped here to the Alleyverse. What exactly killed him, and how he became a Lifeless, that's for the PM's of whoever adopts Deras! c:

Araha (I originally intended for this character to be adopted by my friend but she told me to give her a standard adoption. Araha is one of my most well developed characters, so please play her as well as you can!) adopted by @Badadah:

Other Abilities/Skills:

*Chameleon Ring - Given to her by Mr. Amber from his collection of Epic Tech. The ring can change an object's color for 3.5 minutes. Araha found a way to exploit this by changing the color of an object before the minutes have ended and mastered this to the point that if there's no sudden shift in background, she is completely visually undetectable even while she moves.
*Tactician - She has a tactical mind that allows her to find different solutions to different problems. An example of this was when she fought a stronger mistborn with another mistborn by her side. She told him to burn Chromium and she lashed him toward the opponent, burning the enemy's crucial resources in a single move.
*Tinkerer - She's not super well versed with tinkering, but she can make decent enough modifications to certain fabrials and machines that she is provided with. She created a stormlight cycler with two gems that make it so that the stormlight can stay inside indefinitely until it's breathed out.
*Breath - can awaken but not that good at it yet.

A certain 'Sieg' that I'll tell you about in a PM!

Facts:

-Araha has a crush on Deras, it's not too serious though
-She's bisexual and can be attracted to both male and female

Personality: Usually cheerful and usually flirts with men because she thinks their reactions are funny. If someone mentions more serious romantic stuff though, she'll blush profusely. In combat she's fiercely determined and loyal to her friends, but also manages to find solutions and improvisations quickly.

Relationships with other characters: Is best friends with Damaya. They hug a lot and comfort each other through many things.

Backstory: Revealed in her sheet, but I'll tell you more about her original parents in a PM

Kera (my newest character, and she just completed a certain arc with @xinoehp512 it's not too long, and you should check out the Einladung Hospital thread, but by far she's my character with the least amount of secrets, btw @xinoehp512 if you see this, you don't need to PM me what I asked about anymore XD you can PM the adopter if they ask for it though):

All her abilities and backstory are mentioned in her sheet itself, but for specifics, Grave Cleric is referring to the D&D 5th edition Grave Domain cleric, Acolyte is referring to Ragnarok Online's Acolyte. So her abilities are a bit more esoteric if you don't know about these games.

facts:

-Her real name is Keratin, which she really dislikes so she introduces herself as Kera. (her father heard the word from her mother (who's a doctor) one day and thought it sounded cool so he named her daughter that. His wife facepalmed a lot)
-She works in the arena to avert the death of the participants, but also works in the Einladung Hospital if there's not fights currently

Personality:

Kind and caring, but also loves a good challenge as she found out recently, especially when it comes to healing. She usually has that grin of excitement that certain characters get when fighting, but instead of fighting, it's when she's healing. She hasn't done it yet, but she'd definitely do an evil(not evil) "ehehehehe...EHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" kinda laugh if she averts some major amount of death.

You’re good writer. I don’t know if I already mentioned that, but since you’re leaving the Alleyverse I wanted to say you write really well! Like seriously.

I didn’t know about this until like a couple minutes ago, so I’m still a bit surprised, but I completely agree with Sorana. Real-life matters a lot. Like, without real-life you just have this. And this couldn’t exist without real life, so... checkmate?

On another note, this makes me feel exponentially more guilty for completely ditching that Kaiju fight.

Yeap, the Silver Sentry is a wonder of alternate-universe engineering where the main guild is the exact opposite of the DA XD I just really like building things/characters based on the rules that the universe laid out, and hey, go ahead and use him for the GB's! And if not, just hit me up if you need help making a different kinda mech for the GB's, I'll still be around the Shard sometimes!

Nah no problem! It was pretty fun, that was a good arc to end my Alleyverse journey on

but yeah, her full potential would be better suited to someone who does know D&D, but check back in some time so you can adopt her if no one else does!

I'm interested in Deras's worldhopping abilities. Nekorb actually did use the Spiritual realm to travel back in time. That's part of what caused all the pain.

Wow, damnation, I never knew my writing has actually appealed to so many people, and I'm really glad it did!

and it's alright man, it's not your fault, it's no one's fault really. It's kinda just like burnout I guess, and that's alright. Hopefully someone that you guys find to be as good of a writer as I was/am comes around the Alleyverse and stays a little longer, (and if they're a cute girl who's single, please send her my way. jk XD)

Sure! You can adopt Deras, I'm really glad you found him original. That's usually my goal when making characters, to make something as creative as I can.

Be warned though, he's currently embroiled in some conflict in the City of Oasis so you might have to read up and help solve that before he can go on his own adventures. If this is ok with you, I can then PM you some additional stuff about him as you officially adopt him! @Nohadon

If nobody has already said so, I would like Deras. I have not rp'd with you very much, but from what I have seen, the Alleyverse will be less enjoyable without you. DANG YOU NOHADON!!! Ugh. I wanted a really powerful character.
