standing for public forum, pf is a 2v2 debate with topics often about domestic or foreign policy. It has a large focus on impacts of certain actions, and evidence is very important. it's kinda policy's little brother.

And it's very fun. :P

It goes like this:

Constructive speech: Person one

Constructive speech: Person one (opposing team)

CX (between person one from each team)

Rebuttal: Person two

Rebuttal: Person two (opposing team)

CX (between person two from each team)

Summary: Person one

Summary: Person one (opposing team)

Grand CX (with everyone)

Final Focus: Person two

Final Focus: Person two (opposing team)

that is one of the more interesting debate formats I've seen. LD's format is just plain weird.

usually not chaotic. it pretty much turns into a 1v1 cross between the more experienced debaters :P

yeah, it's pretty fun

for some reason I don't have a set list of questions I ask as Neg for this year (I had one last year) and it's been so stressful flowing and thinking of good lines of questioning.

A project. Not an essay. Project is (hopefully) better than an essay.

Good for you! I enjoy writing essays depending on the topic, but projects are a nice change of pace.

Same.

That seems smart; coming up with possible questions?

But it also seems like it would be hard to use them. You can't plan for every scenario, after all.

You can't. So you instead get a mega one size fits all umbrella argument and then smoke bomb away and disappear so they cant refute you.
