Vyzkel He/Him Posted October 25, 2024 Posted October 25, 2024 (edited) My biggest pet peeve is how the classrooms haven’t changed since the 1900’s, which means we’re being taught in way to prepare to do factory work, which isn’t what they should be teaching us at this day and age. The best thing they can do is tear up the current system and basically start from scratch, but the problem with that is how much that would cost and this could take months, meaning students won’t be educated during that time. We’re basically stuck. Edited October 25, 2024 by Vyzkel Grammar

This is actually so true. Can't believe I didn't realize that before. No, actually I can believe i'd do that.

Yeah, the desks set out in rows is to prepare children for assembly lines and the letter-based grades are also used for factories workers to determine pay, that’s what the system was built to do because of the high demand of factory jobs at that time. 1

Start with Kindergarten and every year reform the next grade up, instead of doing them all at once. Previous students would miss out, but that's better and easier than doing it all at once.

And this is the reason why politics shouldn't affect the school system. If they didn't this would've happened age ago.

I would say start at the top and move down. seniors need the reform the most. 38 minutes ago, kpShadowFox said: And this is the reason why politics shouldn't affect the school system.
