Fangblade, however, was zinging away too fast for Kane's eyes to follow. So, Fang thought, his coat is Awakened. That probably means that all Sentinel coats are Awakened. Thanks for the information, Kane! He unSlicked his feet and stopped Steelpushing on the rocks around him, leaping onto the nearest boulder and orienting himself towards his adversary. He settled on his hindquarters and let his tongue loll out, looking at his opponent with discerning eyes. The wind was currently blowing towards him, and he sniffed it without tin-- he didn't need metals most often when it came to his senses. He smelled nothing special but the Amberite bond, but could see the coat (apparently Awakened) and a Shardarm (his spren or a dead one).

So the best way to defeat him would be to make him attack Fang. The great wolf-dog stared at the human with intense eyes, waiting for Kane to come and get into the fight.

Ok, what’s another way I can decide who goes first. DUEL MINI ROAST BATTLES!

Each of you get four lines to  write an epic roast to annihilate your opponent. Winner gets to decide loser goes first.

BEGIN! :P

"Nice try, little pup,

I'm a Windrunner like Hobber.

You're so screwed up,

All you can do is slobber."

“Hey kid, ya may be playin’

But obviously ya got stuck

And ya can’t weigh in

So you’re gonna get fuuu....”

Fang trailed off, realizing that this was a rated PG-13 sort of website, so he couldn’t finish that last sentence.

...that wasn't funny...

Kane didn't want to go on the offensive too much because he knew that close-up fighting was the dog's specialty. So he did the only natural thing.

He started shooting the dog with his plasma rifle.

"Idiot," Fang mumbled, dodging agilely out of the way of all of the blasts from the plasma rifle. He didn't even have to burn pewter, it was so easy.

When a short pause in the plasma fire came, Fang howled, "You are a Sam-cursed coward, you know that?!" @JacobClaessen

"Sea maidens have nothing to do with this!"

Kane proceeded to shoot a few more times.

Kane has more than 16 years of practice and the blasts are faster than bullets. Dodging is kinda improbable.

@I think I am here.

Have you ever played a Metroid game in your life? Do you know any of the Metroid stages of life? No?! That's what I thought. Do not claim to be an expert in an area which you know nothing about!

Also, on a more scientific note, something made of pure energy couldn't be pushed out of a weapon faster than something with mass, like, say, a bullet.

That's a joke, I don't know anything about your Warhammer 40K stuff. I do however, know a whole lot about invoking the names of certain godesses....

THE Sea Maiden is the most powerful god you should ever have the fortune to meet, so I suggest you don't speak of her well or not at all.

Fang jumped off the boulder and leaped across several others until he was far away enough that the blasts' kinetic energy couldn't carry them far enough to hit him. "The goddess might send an earthquake...."

*******

A certain goddess was sick and tired of being disrespected as that idiot Kane had just done. The earth shook slightly, just to remind the mortals who was the boss.

Kane: 93

Fang: 81

Plasma bolts are powerful, so I was deducting -5 For every one that hit. Kane has fired ‘a few’ shots twice, so I’m counting that as six shots in total. Rolling a dice to see how many shots hit, and Fangs in luck, because I rolled a 1. 1 * 5 = 5. -5

Fang hasn’t attacked Kane, so no damage for Kane.

Fang rolled over onto his stomach and lolled his tongue out at Kane, then flipped upright and Steelpushed himself at incredible speeds at Kane's chest, Compounding steel SO MUCH IT WOULD LITERALLY DEFY THE LAWS OF PHYSICS FOR KANE TO DODGE. Spirit-Brother formed as a huge sword in Fang's mouth, and he stabbed it towards Kane's leg, WHICH SENTINEL ARMOR DOES NOT COVER.

Steel is phys. speed. You don't fly faster, you move faster. You can't compound speed to steeljump faster.

As you can see, the gut, just over the medallion, is not exposed.

Brainless [PENDING REVIEW]

So if you jumped off a high place and you were a steel Feruchemist, could you store the speed of you falling?

Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW]

No, because... I'm going to say you need to be moving under your own... because otherwise it's all relative, right? If you're falling, it's no different than if you're traveling on the planet or things like that.

Glamdring804 [PENDING REVIEW]

So it's related more to muscle contractions.

Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW]

*hesitantly* Yes.... kind of. Feruchemy bends all sorts of weird things, ever since I started doing the weight one. So, yes.

Brainless [PENDING REVIEW]

The thing about Feruchemy is it feels like you could be like a savant short of it, but it would be much more minor than something like a savant for... It would be more things like what you could get for exercise and stuff like that.

Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW]

Yeah. Yeah, that's possible.

By the letter of this WoB, that isn't possible.

Falling is not the same as flying / Steelpushing, Brandon did actually hesitate to say you need to be using your own muscle contractions.

Doesn't confirm the opposing view either but this doesn't explicitly disallow it.
