Alleyverse: Backstories

Hi All! this is a place for fleshing out character's backstories. I know most era 2 characters can use 16YP for it as it usually shows their early years, but some era 1 characters could have their backstories extended here.

"More wine, lord?" Devaan asked, posture straight as he offered Lord Samaren Lekal more drink

"No. That will be all. I have important matters to discuss" He told Devaan, dismissing the teenage terrisman. Devaan nodded, withdrawing from the room. Lekal was meeting with Lord Feras Hasting, no others were in there. The meeting was made under the pretext of 'canal lines discussion' but Devaan knew better. He tapped tin to listen in on the 'meeting'

"Now. What did you wish to discuss with me again?" Feras asked in a gruff old voice

"Simple, Lord Hasting. You are going to give me power over all your weapon stocks"

"And why would I do that?"

"Because you enjoy life"

"Please. As if you could have me killed. Guards!"

Samaren sighed

"Come in"

Devaan walked in, staff in hand

"Yes m'lord?" Devaan asked patiently

"He has asked for his guards, would you like to show him them?"

"Of course" Devaan beckoned the Hasting lord to follow him. He led the group into a room opposite of the meeting room. There was a simple table there, with six bodies slumped over or laying on the floor.

"Their dead" Devaan told him, a sly grin appearing.

"A terris killer? wait till the inquisitors hear about this!" The old Lord shouted

"Killer? no. no. I just prepared their drinks." Devaan walked towards the lord.

"enough." Samaren said

Devaan froze

"Remember your place. Terris."

"Of course"

Samaren walked slowly towards the lord.

"You should have taken the deal" He said

Samaren flipped a boxing, then smiled cruelly.

 

And steel pushed the coin into the Hasting's skull.

 

"Now. That's done. Care for another card game?"

"Of course"

Devaan liked the Lekal, he knew that something was special about Devaan, but didn't know what, he knew that Devaan wasn't exactly Steward material, so the Lekal decided that he could use Devaan, a poisoner, a scammer.

A card shark.

Devaan finished his game, then walked up to the top floor of the northern tower of keep Lekal. Going to sleep.

 

Here's a short section of Devaan's past, I'll edit more in later.
