Confused Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 I had started a topic wondering about the source of the word "Nahel" in Nahel bond. WeiryWriter pointed out that suffixes are important in Roshar naming conventions, and that the suffix of Nahel is "el" as in Zahel. That got me thinking. . Roshar is a colony of Krypton, settled by Superman's family! Superman's father was Jor-el, his name is Kal-el. "Kal"-adin's childhood girlfriend's name is the symmetrically blasphemous Laral - Superman's mother's name, Lara plus the family name "el" but dropping the "e" so you don't have two consecutive vowels. And don't forget Superman's younger brother, Stick-el! It all makes sense now! 2
Wrath Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Kryptonians have the ability to absorb certain types of light and turn it into superpowers. That definitely doesn't seem like a coincidence. 1
GreyPilgrim he/him Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 The cosmere has finally been solved! Although, I guess this doesn't bode well for out favorite Rosharans... Too bad.
NeutroniumAlchemist he/him Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 This means Man of Steel could very well be 'Ironeyes' Marsh 2

Islington Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 As a gigantic fan of superman in general and Man of Steel in specifics, I adore this theory and it's now my headcanon.
