Damaya tried to catch Ski's eyes with her own. Her last wo infused spheres had rolled out of her hand when the Chaos Marine had shoved her away and lay close to Ski on the ground. She looked at them and then back at Ski. Maybe they could help the old man, while nobody was allowed to move. @Life&Death

Only then did she realize that the name the man had told them sounded almost like her own. And the last name was the name of the lover of the woman who had "taken" her in. Shards, what was going on?

One question, which old man are you talking about?

Pry’s arm hurt. She’d frozen when the man had said to - mid pencil stroke. She let it fall and sat down. No one commented, after all, she was standing in the doorway. All the action was farther in.

I could use that to my advantage. She thought, then stopped. Strategy? Pry? Who was she kidding.

So she sat, legs crossed, right inside the doorway, waiting to see how things would play out.

Night, beginning to get bored of character development and realizing that he was never sentient long enough to be active when things were actually happening around the waystop, dissapparated[dont kill me i can't teleport] with a slight wave of his left hand, sending himself towards that new australian bar. "Worry not! I shall return when the Waystop is threatened again," he yelled; the last few words cut off.

Araha's eyes widened, it wasn't Damaya's name, sure, but it was similar enough. "W-" she begun, she was regaining control of herself. "We don't know who she is." Araha said, barely above a whisper. "She'd likely disguise her name, we don't know anyone named that."

The sorcerer glanced down at Araha, shaking his head.

"I am a disciple of Tzeentch, child," he said. "I know lies like I know my own soul- you cannot hope to deceive me."

He looked back up, pointing towards Deras.

"I know the child of the Enemy is here!" he roared. "Surrender her now, with no trickery or falsehood, or this woman dies!"

Tena watched the Chaos sorcerer carefully. He had a metal sword at Araha's sword. That was the last mistake he'd ever make.

She was stealthy, growing up on the streets did that to a person. She shadowed over to where she could Steelpush the sword away from Araha's throat, then downed a vial, and, setting her back to a wall, Pushed on the sword with all her strength, sending both the Chaos sorcerer and his weapon flying away, hopefully.

Dayne Saw what Tena was doing and decided this was his chance, he rapidly took his earings and swallod them, and when the Blade was pushed he burned the earings getting lots of velocity and used it to run to Araha, he get low and with a knive he stabbed the chaos sorcerer on his arm that was grabbing the sword and with that done he grabbed Araha and took her out of the circle of soldiers just in time as his velocity had burned all up"you okay?"he said as he leaved Araha on the ground and turned back to see the chaos soldiers.

DEBUT

Everything happened in slow motion to Deras' copper-enhanced mind. And his furyspren sparked like a burst of thermite.

The moment the woman was out of danger, he ran forward and summoned his shardblade, simultaneously ripping the bolter right out of the enemy's hands. He fired a few rounds into his head, killing him. 6 left.

He hacked at the soldier closest to him with the shardblade, greying him out and turned again. 5 left. Firing at the other Chaos Marines, they were being driven back, and they returned fire. Deras was careful not to let the others get hit so he chucked the dead Chaos Marine at them, its large body catching their firing and colliding with them. He saw where the sorcerer was and greyed all four limbs in a moment, too quick to react.

He charged the other Chaos Marines, trying to fire at him, as he used his shardblade to deflect the bullets, but still got some of his flesh as well as scraps of his cloak ripped off by the bolters, revealing some of his hemalurgic spikes. The regeneration was still working, and fortunately, they didn't hit anything important for locomotion this time. Deras greyed 2 more in a single sweep. 3 left.

He would give them no rest.

He saw one go for one of the people in the room. He stabbed the Marine in the back of the head with the sword, greying him out. 2. He activated his mindscan. No surprises. He used the bolter again and fired at the last two space marines, as he was charging them. One of them used the Power Fist to strike at Deras, but it was blocked by the blade. He punched forward, denting the Marine's armor, but also shattering some of Deras' bones in his hand. He slashed down and killed him.

One more left.

He'd failed his morale roll and was already running toward the exit.

When he exited, the turrets ripped him to shreds.

None left.

Deras walked over to the Sorcerer and put a foot on his chest on the ground. "I'VE TOLD YOU TO CEASE. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS." Deras said, his voice a low growl. He put his good hand on the sorcerer's neck, but didn't squeeze. Any amount of pressure from him was liable to kill this brittle thing.

"you okay?"

"No." Araha answered Dayne. The Chaos Marines were all dead in almost an instant, she got up from where she was and walked over to where the large man was pinning the bastard on the ground, tears welled up again as small pools of angerspren started bubbling from under her. She'd been afraid, and now she was just frustrated. She started letting her frustrations out by stomping repeatedly on the bastard's uncovered head.

"Enough." The other man pinning the bastard said. She didn't stop though. This was supposed to be a safe place, and beyond that, it was supposed to be over, but it wasn't, she didn't know if she could ever feel safe again.

Her stomping only stopped when Ran put a hand on her shoulder. "He's beaten, Ara." She said in a calming voice. Araha stepped back, yelling in frustration, as she walked over to a wall and started banging on it, her fist started to split open, and bled.

She'd been so helpless, she was frustrated and angry at herself, frustrated and angry at the bastard, and frustrated and angry that she was naive enough to think they were safe, and so her presence just caused more harm to everyone around her, even if it was just potential harm. She wanted to destroy them, to take her vengeance, but she wasn't even strong enough.

"Ara, that's not the way to think." Ran spoke in the same calming voice. She couldn't hear her thoughts, but she could see the anger in her eyes, she'd seen Araha angry for several other reasons in the past, but this was the first time she'd seen her like this.

Ran was afraid Araha would end up killing her.

Shaking the thought off, Ran hugged Araha.

by kill Ran I mean like how Kaladin in WoR almost killed Syl because he started breaking his oaths

Ioc sighed. It stood from where it had been leaning against a wall in the shadow.

It walked over to where the fight had been.

"Ya know," it said, "I'm always late to these kinds of things. I always have to help heal,"

Ioc knelt and used the Surge of Progression to heal a fallen Chaos person who wasn't quite dead.

"You know what I have to do?" It asked. "I have to start another fight,"

Then, it tapped Speed and ran up to where Araha and Deras pinned down the Sorcerer, and slammed a fist into Deras' face.

Deras' head was knocked backward and when he retracted, he'd already re-summoned his strange sword. In a single motion, he tried to stabbed the last enemy in the head. This new man healed the enemy, but he wasn't about to let the last one get away.

He activated the mindscan to determine that there were indeed no other of the enemies.

This new man strangely didn't look like an enemy, and he didn't dissociate him from being human, but still. He trained his blade on the new man, his furyspren dissipating, and being replaced by regular angerspren. "Why." He asked.

***

Araha saw the new man heal the bastard on the floor, which made her even angrier, only partially helped by seeing the bastard finally getting stabbed in the head. "Ran." She called out. She was angry and she didn't bother suppressing her emotions, she just needed to summon and channel that anger. Ran reluctantly put herself over Araha, becoming something of an aura as Araha took a ChayShan stance.

"Why?" Ioc repeated. "Cuz I don't like your attitude towards these perfectly agreeable Space Chaos people. Yall need to be nicer,"

'Uh...' Prefrontal Cortex said. 'Didn't these Chaos people just take hostages?'

'SHUT UP!' said Amygdala.

Ioc looked toward the other person, who was taking a ChayShan stance.

"Really?" Ioc asked. "ChayShan? It's one of the weakest powers in the Cosmere!" Ioc frowned. "Not that it isn't awesome, but still,"

Ioc began pulling on their emotions, hopefully to make them more considerate to people who were already beaten.

...I love you, Gancho

(I never thought I'd be saying that, but I fully mean it)

The sorcerer may have been injured, but he wasn't dead yet. That was Deras's first mistake.

The second was allowing the stranger to heal him.

With a transhuman roar, the sorcerer dodged the blade, brought up his hands, and blasted Deras with a bolt of lightning, tossing him away. The sorcerer rolled over, getting up to one knee and thrusting his hands to the side.

"Where. Is. She!" he shouted, a maelstrom of frothing Investiture whirling around him.

"Neither am I!" Ioc yelled. "Also, you realize you just undermined the Rioting I was doing? Oh, never mind,"

Ioc shot forward with Feruchemical speed, its hand brushing Araha's and it burned chromium, taking away her power.

oh yeah! Yay!

I will say I meant to heal one of the fallen chaos people, but since they were all dead, this works out better. Also, it read like that, so I can't change it.

With a growl, Deras picked himself up from the wall, furyspren flaring. He ran toward the Sorcerer, summoning his shardblade. He put the sword flat to his shoulder and tackled the Sorcerer

@Gancho Libre

Araha remembered that this was the man-creature from earlier with the axe embedded in his head. As soon as the man-creature brushed Araha's hand, she grabbed it and put the creature into an arm-lock, twisting the arm so that she was behind it. "They took me hostage and was about to kill me! How the hell is that sparking 'agreeable'?" She shouted at him.

The sorcerer quickly threw his hands up in front of his face. The mass of Investiture copied the movement, creating a blazing wall that Deras crashed into.

"If these fools had given up the traitor," the sorcerer said, muffled by the wall of energy, "then there would have been no need to hold you hostage!"

“I’m going to need your help,” Ski whispered while slipping her warrior’s lenses on. “My uncle is hurt, could you help him? I’m going to try to eliminate the threat to the Waystop.”
