Furamirionind
I was introduced to Brandon Sanderson a little over 2 years ago by some friends. Since then I have read all published Stormlight, Mistborn, Elantris, Reckoners, and Alcatraz books. I recently found this forum and am excited to be joining the community. I am starting to run out (though not quite out) of Sanderson books left to read. Are there other authors that you would recommend? Life&Death he/him
Hello! Welcome and enjoy your stay! What non-cosmere books have you read? Who is your favorite character? Do you Role Play? Chocolate or Vanilla? I recommend The Books of Umber. A very interesting series that I really enjoyed. Also the Kingkiller Chronicles are very well written. There’s my two cents. Beware of cookies (They are usually containing hemalurgic spikes.) And beware of people trying to steal your breath. The 17thShard is not without its dangers. Enjoy the forum!!!

As far as non Sanderson books, I have read most of the common ones: LotR, Kingkiller, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, The Giver... etc. I haven't run into "The Books of Umber", I will need to look into it. my favorite characters (of all books) are Kaladin and Prof I do enjoy role playing, though I am inexperienced with it. Vanilla 110% (I don't like chocolate : ) ) Edited August 16, 2018 by Furamirionind

If you enjoy it check out the Alleyverse in the roleplaying section at the bottom of the forum.
+Sorana she/her
Welcome to the shard! You asked after books You could also try out: Brent Weeks - Lightbringer Series Brian McClellan - Powder Mage Triology Jim Butcher - Codex Alera David Hair - Moontide Quartet. And you should definitly take a look at the Alleyverse. It doesn't matter if you are an experienced role player or Not! CadCom he/him
Welcome! have an upvote! Here we like to greet each other by saying "My life to yours, my breath become yours" You should try it! Also would you rather be (Your favorite type of radiant here) who has trained with all 10 surges, or a lerasium Mistborn? The alleyverse is pretty fun! I frequent there on occasion! Another spot to check out is Sanderson Elimination! it's kindof like the party game Mafia, but adapted to play on a forum! It's my favoreit place on the Shard, but the Alleyverse is a close second!
Furamirionind
Hi Cadmium Compounded! My life to yours, Your breath become mine? That question is extremely challenging. I would have to say I would choose the radiant (windrunner). Though I like the powers of mistborn more, the idea of bonding a spren is a huge bonus in my mind. I also really identify with the windrunner order... Although we still don't know much about some of the orders...
