So Hoid is a human, albiet a really old one. So is Frost than able to change from a human form to a dragon form and vice versa? Is Yolen definitely a world filled with dragons and humans? Are the dragons on Yolen the equivalent to the Parshendi on Roshar?

We don't know.

Were the original sixteen Shardholders after the shattering all human?

Brandon Sanderson

Uh … RAFO. There are three races on Yolen.

NutiketAiel

Three sentient races?

Brandon Sanderon

Yes, three sentient races.

There's also that potential.

Yes, Frost is able to change from dragon to human and back again. We see this in several unpublished scenes. Yolen had/has three sapient races on it--humans, dragons and sho del, who are fainlife. So...yes? But it seemed like dragons were fairly rare. They're all "native" to the planet, I believe, but we won't know for sure until Dragonsteel is released.

Ooh boy! Can't wait for this spicy Yolish story! Cause Yolen is like the proto cosmere planet right? I wonder, based on what he have heard Hoid talk about in his stories and some of the stuff he carries, like his flute for instance - I wonder how Earth-like the planet is? Like Shinover is astonishingly Earth like. almost like it doesn't belong on Roshar. I, as always, wait on baited breath for more cosmere stories from Brandon.

From the Liar chapters (that alas, aren't currently available--website issues?) Yolen had two competing ecologies. A standard Earth-type one, and a fain-life one. And fainlife was trying to take over the other one. Not much more beyond that, alas.

Dragonsteel will most likely be set upon Yolen considering it's the "road to shattering" story and we know all shards came from Yolen. At least that series will showcase Yolen

Maybe future cosmere stories like Mistborn era 3/4 too

Mistborn later Eras (that may or may not actually happen) may have some interaction with Yolen.

I would think it would be. My reasoning is, as you have pointed out, Shinovar, and Scadrial was origanally much more earthlike before the Lord Ruler Ascended. That considered, Scadrial was also made by shards.
