True.

Rashan recoiled in shock as his opponent teleported behind him, sword locking Rashan. Rashan grunted against the pain. Was this where he died? His situation didn't help when Cuthbert thrusted his own spike at Rashan. Was this the end? The checkmate?

...No.

Using the last of his primary steelmind, Rashan screamed, both because of pain and determination, and with his shout he ripped the spike out of his opponent, and aided by his last attempt at a desperate ditch of incredible speed, batted each of the swords out of his opponents hand, before thrusting the spike in Cuthbert's right arm, hoping whatever magic it was going to do to him would be done to Cuthbert. Rashan stumbled back, walking slowly away. His speed was gone. He had his emergency steelminds, but they only had enough for short bursts of not that much speed. Rashan was without his primary power.

No more reckless attacks, he thought to himself. You need to be careful now.

Rashan took out his shortsword, ready to defend.

I assumed the spike was in Cuthbert, and he was thrusting it at Rashan, so Rashan ripped it out. Otherwise, Cuthbert could not have made a sword lock as well as stab the spike with his hands, as a sword lock requires two hands.

Cuthbert smiled, realising that his opponent was royally stormed. His brother was back inside of him, and while in his opponent he'd done a good bit of damage. He picked his swords back up off the ground, put them in their respective scabbards and drew an Aon Kii in the air, which was targeted at Rashan. It  would definitely work on his opponent now that he had just commited a crime, having stabbed Cuthbert a few seconds ago.

I mean, calling things we do here a crime is like calling boxing a crime. People agreed to this, so I don't think things we do here can be traced back as a crime, unless it goes against tournament rules (like getting external help)

IK im not the mod, but here is my input.

This isn't america or Europe though. Nothing that is illegal in the alleyverse has been done during this fight.

If you look at this from purely a legal standpoint, @I think I am here. would win.

However, I believe that the Aon Kii is subject to perception, not the letter of the law. Because, how would you determine which laws it would follow, also, how would you know if that person broke a specific law (murder), or a more general/less serious one (jaywalking). Either the Aon Kii would need to be modified for a specific action, or the intent of the maker factors into what it targets.

I believe it's based more on targets perception with some input from the Aon

Rashan: 66 (-16 from 2 turns)

Cuthbert: 53 (-8)

Rashan grunted as he was hit with the force of the symbol. What was he going to do? He only had his 3 emergency steelminds left. Remembering a scene he'd watched in another arena between his idols, Rashan ran over to the rubble their bout had created, using his first emergency steelmind to throw them at the speed of cannonballs, surrounding Cuthbert.

Cuthbert tapped an Aon Edo shield he had pre drawn on his trouser leg. The rocks bounced off harmlessly, so he drew another Aon flooding the arena except for that which was inside his shield. Which was him.

Storms, another flood?

Rashan grunted against the force of the flood, but before he could be crushed into the arena walls, he struck his shortsword into the ground, and holding onto it for dear life, managed to not get pushed away in fury.

Don't give up now, hands. Not now.

He then used his other weapon, his chain-blade, to create another anchor which he could hold onto, and brought his short sword along for another 'step'. Using this method, Rashan managed to move fairly quickly through the raging flood without any steel, when he got to the cubic shield his opponent waited in, Rashan plucked each of the rocks his opponent had defended from the waters and through them onto the roof of the shield, before hacking away at the thing. When he finally managed to break through his opponents defenses, not only was Cuthbert greeted with the force of his own flood, but also with the sharp and dangerous rocks now falling directly above, no longer being held with the shield roof Rashan broke
