Infinity War Poll

I know there's already a semi-official Infinity War thread, but I just really want to do a poll to see how everyone would rate this movie.

I loved infinity war but im still a little pissed about the amount of people who died in the movie.

(loki's death was total trash)

(and also sad)

And how most of the Guardians of the Galaxy members died.

I love Loki, but his death wasn’t that bad. He did everything he could to save Thor and the universe, without any wish for personal glory. It was a good culmination of his arc, and allowed him to go full circle. 

The Guardians will most likely be revived. Maaaybe except Gamora, but she’ll most likely come back too.

I am not quite sure that Loki is dead. As the former, president George Bush said, “There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.”

The problem is: if everyone comes back, Infinity War will be pointless. Vision, Loki and Heimdall probably need to stay dead.

In addition, it seems like the movie tries to tell you that he is dead. Thanos ”no resurrections” line, and Thors ”this time I think it might be for real” heavily implies that.

I enjoyed Infinity War but it had all the pacing and tone problems I expected. None of the deaths really hit me because I'm not convinced anybody will stay dead. It definitely feels like the first half of a movie, so I'll probably hold back on my full judgement until I see part 2.

They scrapped the idea of making a part 2... i believe they said that it would just spoil the first movie.  They would just have an avengers 4.

Seems to me that it's pretty hard to have a sequel that doesn't spoil the first movie, but okay they can do that. I imagine avengers 4 will function like infinity war part 2.

Seems to me to be the case, too. In all likelihood, they just changed it from a "part 2" to a different title for marketing reasons (Ie so that audiences don't immediately say "this is the same film"), or for tonal and plot reasons yet unknown to us.

I went with 8/10. It's a fantastic movie, and one of my favourites both in the MCU and in general, but I didn't rate it higher because they're almost certianly going to turn back time somehow (and not the way I hope they're going to), and that ruins the movie a bit for me. Plus, it's not one where watching it the second time is anywhere near as fun/interesting/emotional.
