Kobold King he/him Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 This is so from that Syl thread. The Syl thread has breached containment! I recommend a full tactical strike to prevent it from escaping onto more threads. 2
Observer Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 We could just let 682 in there to hold it off until the breach is settled. Ahem. I like to think that Sadeas was secretly a Forged flowerpot, and he forgot to bring his soulstamps to Urithuru in his haste. So he stumbles over to a window to try and carve one as quick as he can, but suddenly it runs out and he turns back into a pot, Oathbringer unbinding instantly. 6
Bladesbane Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Well, you see what happened was, with Gaz going back to the camps, Asmodean was starting to get lonely again.... This makes me both so happy and so sad... when I read the wheel of time I was hoping for a redemption story for Asmodean...however Sadeas is clearly off adventuring with Hoid on Scadrial, He's there to see if he can find a character thats as much of an cremhole as he is...
Khyrindor he/him Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 My theory is that Adolin killed him. Yes. I hear the cries that he didn't--there's no way! But there is. What I think happened is that Sadeas was innocently walking down the halls of Urithuru, when he happened upon a wild Adolin. He started making all sorts of not-so-wise-cracks, and Adolin Snapped. He went crazy and started to lick the walls, made, of course, of Tanavastium. When burned, and Adolin burned it, it makes you go Spike-crazy. Honorably, of course. It was time to turn Sadeas into an Inquisitor. But there was one problem--He had no Spikes! Or did he... The knife was indeed a Spike. He had killed many a foe with it. And so, he rushed up to Sadeas and planted it in his eye. The Steel knife had killed the Parshendi, who had (obviously) Allomantic physical powers, and granted him the power of steel. Which, on Roshar, grants you the ability to Push off of Gems, using Stormlight as fuel. Oh. Also, Adolin happened to be a Soother, and took Sadeas' body over with a strong Push. The Spike in Sadeas' eye forced away his bonded Shardblade, and it puffed into existence with mist. Adolin drew upon the Mists. And commanded Sadeas to kill Szeth--to Spike him with a knife into his other eye--to steal his Surgebinding powers. Only, Szeth didn't have a knife on him, so Sadeas was forced to use... Nightblood! Discuss. (Oh, and Adolin obviously realized that if he planted Oathbringer, Cultivation would cultivate it to grow into a magnificent Shardtree. The most awesome and terrifying trees of all, that grant strange and unknown but totally real powers to all.) 1

Asmodean Jordan's missed opportunity. He had so much potential, why kill him so early?
Cromptj he/him Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 This is how I felt while reading ASOIAF except it was like, four times a book. The books got so depressing, I had to stop reading. Anyway, back to the main thread, Sadeas is not dead. He got "borrowed" indefinitely by GRRM because there just aren't enough scumbags in Westeros. He does die later though. EVERYONE DIES! 2

Actually, GRRM has not killed anyone I cared too much about, so far.
Fifth of Daybreak he/him Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Sadeas discovered a type of Voidbinding, which allows him to change size. He was trying to spy on Adolin and Shallan when Adolin caught him in the hallway. Sadeas used his stormlight, but because he wasn't used to his powers, he grew tiny instead. A guest of wind caught him as he shrunk and blew him out the window right as he summoned Oathbringer. They both immediately plummeted down into the flowerpot, and Sadeas was instantly crushed to death by the of weight Oathbringer.
Shaggai Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 He was unwise. His search for power led him far and wide, and then into realms beyond the ken of mankind. He traveled into Shadesmar itself. Yet he did not know enough to survive in the changeable environment of the collective mind. His search went too far. It provoked the FatalErrorspren, and he was Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 387973120 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 489261360 bytes) in Unknown on line 0 3
