Forests of Hell would be awesome, but I also think that possibly the best way to introduce a wider audience (and thereby increase the value of the complete property that is the cosmere, so that serious money could be thrown at it so it's done right) would be to do a film of The Emperor's soul. It won a Hugo award, my wife who is not into fantasy really liked it (and is almost on the verge of reading more Sanderson books), and if they spent money on the visual design for the setting, the costumes, and great actors, it could be a relatively inexpensive movie to make but it would still be awesome. There would need to be some CGI, but pretty minimal compared to other Cosmere stories.

It's definitely my favorite of the novella's. I think that it along with 6th Of The Dusk would also be fairly cheap to make. There really wouldn't need to be any CG in either film. The most CGI in 6th would be the nightmaws. But they could just never show them to get around it. Out of all of them you are right, The Emperor's Soul has the strongest story. Plus we would get a Hoid cameo :)

My hope with Hoid is that for film and tv productions of Cosmere stories is that they always have the same actor play Hoid. That would be just plain awesome.

That actor needs to be Tom Hiddleston.

It would be the best! Though I don't know if we would get that... I only say that because even big name actors like RDJ are getting tired of the MCU. Not everyone can be Sam Jackson. If we were to get a consistent Hoid it would probably be a no name or B-tier actor. Or ... whispers or, what if (even though he doesn't look the part) we convinced Brandon to play Hoid. He's not by any stretch of the word an actor but I would love it :D

He would be an amazing Hoid! Give him a white wig and I'd buy that for a dollar! (obscure reference to 80's Arnold Scwarzenegger movie, can you guess which one?)

Nah, Matt Smith or David Tennant.

If you're going to go the Doctor Who route, than someone who approximates Tom Baker's Dr. Who would be amazing.

Hmm, Brandon is awesome, but I think he would be better used as a worldhopper, kind of like Stan Lee's cameos in the MCU, but more distinctive, maybe even Felt?

I don't know how Brandon would look with a drooping mustache, but that could be rad.

Nope. I am born 99 so I never really got into 80s movies. But please tell me. I’ll guess on Terminator for the fun of guessing.

Doh! I thought it was from the Running Man, it's actually from Robocop, both of those are great movies. The reference is spoilered below.

Brandon said somewhere he wants to play a different red shirt every movie where he gets killed a different way every time

Rad.
He's got to practice his minor character death face, it's an important part.

Why of course. It completely changes the course of the movie’s events.

Honestly, though, seeing Brandon in those roles would be the one part that I would search for each movie.

I didn't think I could love that man any more, and then he says this. What a beautiful son of a slontze.
