He responds by saying the only one around that's his age doesn't like him. Does anyone know whom is he referring to? I'm sure this has probably been brought up before.

Because this definitely touches on that material. xD Spoiler In brief, it goes back to the Shattering of Adonalsium (the original 'God' of the Cosmere) into the sixteen Shards some ten thousand years before the books began. The three gods of Roshar (Honor, Cultivation and Odium) were people who each took up one of those Shards. Hoid did not take a Shard himself but we know he was alive back then and knew the sixteen people who did. Hence, all of them are 'his age'. He offhandedly implies this to Jasnah at the end of WoR when he comments that Tanavast (Honor's now-dead Vessel) once bought him a drink and it comes up on occasion in the epigraphs, but most of what we know comes from things Brandon has told us outside the books. In addition to RShara's WoB, we still have Frost calling Hoid 'old friend' multiple times in his letter and making a point that he does truly consider him a friend, albeit a frustrating one. Given his apparent association with the Seventeenth Shard and his status as the oldest living being in the Cosmere, I think it's safe to number him among the big players. xD
