twilt Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Hey all I got into Brandon Sanderson through the wheel of time. But as i enjoyed his work so much i started buying his other stuff too. He is now my fave sci fi author Ive read Mistborn series (loved it) TWOK and WOR- Loved them Warbreaker (liked it but not as much as some others) Is there any other Adult work of Sandersons that i have missed?. Im reluctant to shell out on 'young adult' stuff really. Cheers 2
Iredomi Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 His YA stuff is definitely different in tone to his adult books. I would recommend reading Elantris might not be as good as the others being Mr. Sanderson's first published book but I love it, and I unreservedly recommend Emperor's Soul (an awesome novella- best thing Brandon has written in my opinion) and Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell (a short story found in George R.R. Martin's Dangerous Women Anthology). Hope you enjoy =) 1
Delightful Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Alloy of Law (Mistborn series sequel) if you haven't read that yet. I second Elantris and Emperor's Soul, but haven't read Shadows for Silence yet. All those as far as I'm aware are Cosmere books. 1
EvilNuff Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Emperor's Soul may be his best writing, IMO. I would definitely recommend that. 1
