I seem to have finally found the right place to meet my cousins. I come from a storming place where I've only met one other Sanderson fan and that totally by accident. I married this person of course.

My first book was the Way of Kings which I picked up in a storming forsaken bookstore by accident. As they say the rest is history. I wanting to convert my spouse showed them the book only to have them gasp in astonishment run into another room and return with the Rithmatist in hand.

I hope to someday use my education in psychology to write a comprehensive personality test that will place someone into the order of radiants that they are most suited for.

One can never have to many cousins. Chouta anyone?

Hi and Welcome!

Always good to have cousins ;) First book i read was mistborn, and i nonstop read the first era. Have you read any other cosmere books, or just Stormlight?

Also, watch out for the cookies >.>

The cosmere has become somewhat of an obsession. I have yet to read the mistborn books after the first era, but other than that I have read them all. The stormlight archive is by far my favorite, but I very much enjoyed the Rithmatist and War Breaker as close seconds.

I now try to do the impossible and attempt to guess at how things will turn out in Brandon's books.

Cookies are usually something I flock to with much eagerness, but if the ones here have chull dung in them I'll be careful

its seems its usually spikes..

Mistborn era 2 is a bit different than era 1 for sure, but its amazing as well. lot of comedy, and my favorite all time character so far, wayne, is from them.

I hope to be able to read those next, due to some life events both major and minor I'm a bit behind and have just started oathbringer.

My favorite character is probably Lift or Rock.

Nobody can beat the stick from WoR though

JUST IN CASE, SPOILERS FOR WORDS OF RADIENCE TO FOLLOW.

My favorite moments are whenever there are ideals spoken. They just hit on something in me that always evokes a really emotional response. When Lift speaks the second ideal in azir and you realize she is one of the forgotten herself. Even more powerful when Kaladin realizes the king is Dalinar's Tien and goes to save him knowing he will probably die.

I'm so excited to learn more about the orders and hear their individual oaths.

Anyone else favorite moments?

I'm imagining it as a movie now.  There would be a special, dramatic, full orchestral leit motif that plays when people speak ideals!

When someone starts to speak an ideal, but fails, it stops suddenly on a discord.

When...a certain someone who I won't name in case of spoilers...speaks the words in Oathbringer...perhaps the leit motif could be played quietly on a guitar instead :D ...

or maybe a kazoo

My favourite moment was after reading the poisoning scene in Book 1 (or 2??),  Then I went to bed.  And I woke up half an hour later going "OH CRAP!" because I realised that all was not as it appeared.  I wasn't entirely right about what had happened, but I was desperate to pick up the book again!
