  1. In response to a post a ways back in the thread. I think that the ability demonstrated by Dalinar when he deflected Amarams blade is not something to be confused with a shardblade. When the Stormfather says he will be a knight with no shards I think he meant it. As a bondsmith spren and Tanavast's cognitive shadow he wont break his word like that. The ability he manifested, I think, has something to do with touching the spiritual realm. It will be interesting to see if he can do it at will. As for the rest I think all orders receive plate and blade at the same ideals, but I guess we will have to RAFO to find the truth. I think Shallan has plate now for sure though. Becausr of her frectured state she didnt even realize it because of the amount of lightweaving and exhaustion.
  2. Welcome! I'm glad you have found your happy place. If you want to keep it be wary of cookies they might be spiked. Also I advise you not to give away your breath.
  3. Gladly, before I accept you in all of your glory I will need you to swear to me certain oaths and relinquish the breath you have collected.
  4. Welcome! Other than the stormlight archive have you read any of Brandon's other books? Also watch out for the cookies, and be wary of anyone asking for your breath.
  5. Welcome! Who is your second favorite character? Favorite book? And just how many cranberries do you eat each year? Also ignore the elephant in the room I'll buy you're breath and cookie off you with investiture. For noble purposes of course
  6. The cookies may or may not have hemalurgic spikes in them, or it could be chull dung....
  7. Warbreaker is a truly unique book. Next to the stormlight archive it is in my opinion the best. Also should you not want it I am collecting cookies... for a truly noble and honorable purpose of course
  8. Thank you for that I was unaware
  9. Welcome! I appreciate that you like TenSoon at first I didn't like him but by the end he became one of my favorites as well. Elephant earwax I am intrigued by your love of cookies and spikes. Thankfully niteshado warned me as well
  10. Thank you everyone for your input. I also appreciate the reccomendations I'll have to look into that. I'm also a cosmere nut and want to get my hands on all aspects of the story so I probably will get them at some point or just ask for birthdays/holidays. Again thank you all for your input here
  11. This may be a somewhat obvious question as all of Brandon's books are amazing, but as someone who has never been that into graphic novels just how much does white sand add to cosmere? The other question is price point. I've looked it up and the graphic novel seems pretty slim compared to a full book, is it worth the money spent?
  12. JUST IN CASE, SPOILERS FOR WORDS OF RADIENCE TO FOLLOW. My favorite moments are whenever there are ideals spoken. They just hit on something in me that always evokes a really emotional response. When Lift speaks the second ideal in azir and you realize she is one of the forgotten herself. Even more powerful when Kaladin realizes the king is Dalinar's Tien and goes to save him knowing he will probably die. I'm so excited to learn more about the orders and hear their individual oaths. Anyone else favorite moments?
  13. I hope to be able to read those next, due to some life events both major and minor I'm a bit behind and have just started oathbringer. My favorite character is probably Lift or Rock. Nobody can beat the stick from WoR though
  14. The cosmere has become somewhat of an obsession. I have yet to read the mistborn books after the first era, but other than that I have read them all. The stormlight archive is by far my favorite, but I very much enjoyed the Rithmatist and War Breaker as close seconds. I now try to do the impossible and attempt to guess at how things will turn out in Brandon's books. Cookies are usually something I flock to with much eagerness, but if the ones here have chull dung in them I'll be careful
  15. I seem to have finally found the right place to meet my cousins. I come from a storming place where I've only met one other Sanderson fan and that totally by accident. I married this person of course. My first book was the Way of Kings which I picked up in a storming forsaken bookstore by accident. As they say the rest is history. I wanting to convert my spouse showed them the book only to have them gasp in astonishment run into another room and return with the Rithmatist in hand. I hope to someday use my education in psychology to write a comprehensive personality test that will place someone into the order of radiants that they are most suited for. One can never have to many cousins. Chouta anyone?
