DragonReborn he/him
I am about to go out and buy WoR, but before I do I have a quick question. Throughout WoK everyone talks about how Dalinar is getting weak and how some people don't respect him anymore (mainly the other high lords). So my question is, why does Targazian (spelling??) chose to send Szeth after Dalinar instead of Sadeas? We readers know how awesome Dalinar is, but it seems like nobody on Roshar does. digitalbusker he/him
Because Sadeas is doing things Taravangian likes, and Dalinar is doing things that Taravangian hates? Because killing another Kholin is a bigger coup than killing somebody else? In some way it's got to boil down to "based on the information available at the time, killing Dalinar seems more likely to promote the desired response." Szeth's killings under Taravangian's direction haven't been assassinations, really, in that the death of the target wasn't the only goal. He's under orders to do it visibly, much as he was when he killed Gavilar. So he's not killing Dalinar because Dalinar's awesome and important, or at least not only that, but because killing Dalinar is supposed to cause some effect. Vortaan he/him
I am about to go out and buy WoR, but before I do I have a quick question. So my question is, why does Targazian (spelling??) chose to send Szeth after Dalinar instead of Sadeas? We readers know how awesome Dalinar is, but it seems like nobody on Roshar does. He pretty much straight out says it. Dalinar is trying to unite Alethkar, whereas Sadeas is pretty much allowing the status quo. Alethkar without a really strong central government would be very easy to topple, whereas Dalinar could possibly build it into something very hard to take over without a lot of infrastructure damage. Awesomeness Summoned he/him
I'm sure you've read far enough for this not to be a spoiler but for anyone that hasn't finished WoR, this will be answered pretty well. Essentially, Taravangian, due to the intelligence thing the night mother gave him, believes he is best suited to fill the exact role that Dalinar is trying to fill. Only one can unite and lead them so Mr. T is eliminating Dalinar to prevent unnecessary conflict in the unification process.

Cromptj he/him
Probably because he has spies who know that Dalinar is seeing visions, which makes him a threat.
