(OB) Radiant Oaths and Dragon Ball z

So pleace correct me if I am wrong, but it seems like each oath that a Radiant makes (five total) its kind of like reaching another level of Super Saiyan (gain more strength and power). The first oath obviously gives you a lot of power and strength where before there is only hints of it. It seems like in level two and three unlock further atributes (Szeth is now given permission the practice Division, Dalinor combining all three realms, Kaladin shaking off the shackles from past trangressions etc). After Oath four you get magical armor. With the fifth it almost is like godhood where you become what your order values once (going off of the Skybreakers and becoming the law after the fifth oath). What do you guys think?

I was just thinking about this. Every time Kaladin attains a new Ideal, it's in a moment of utter desperation and emotion, with a huge power boost to act as a deux ex machina – the same as Saiyans. Kaladin even thinks about this in Shadesmar right before Dalinar creates Honor's Perpendicularity, he's anticipating his "power up" to save the day like it usually does. In terms of DBZ, I'd compare Kal's Fourth Ideal to Gohan's SS2: it's going to take an extreme amount of stress to trigger the transformation, but that's because it'll unlock such a higher power.

I didn't like dragonball, and I don't like some things about SA that are too dragonballish (as in, over the top, exaggerated). Still, it's not so bad that it ruins my enjoyment. Also, seeing dalinar becoming a badass by his intent to be a good guy to the end was epic. I will take responsibility for my own actions. best way to achieve ultimate power ever.

So, I love Dragonball, and a LOT of people hate it and are VERY vocal about hating it. I have always had a pet theory that how much you like DBZ, and really any Shonen anime is directly proportional to how in-tune you are with your inner child. I seem to find that the more grown-up you are, the more of an adult you are, the less you like that stuff. I'm not directing that at anyone specific, but it gets me thinking. Anyway, this I think is only applied to Bondsmiths and Windrunners, maybe Stonewards. Because we have a WoB:

Questioner [PENDING REVIEW]

What's with Kaladin being special with his oaths that he explodes with power every time he says it?

Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW]

That is a function of Windrunners being very close to Bondsmiths, which has certain effects.

Would other Windrunners also do that, as well?

Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW]

Yep.

So the DBZ powerup is something that happens to those orders specifically. I say maybe Stonewards because they also share a surge with Bondsmiths. For exapmple, it never happens to Shallan. It doesn't really happen with Lift. So food for thought, I guess.

I wonder, why is it a thing for Bondsmiths in the first place. Could it be, that since Honor's splintering the spren that originate from him rather than Cultivation are more powerful and every oath progress from these three orders is a smaller version of Dalinar's ascension?
