I'm back! (Been gone long enough I figured this was warranted)

Hey everyone! It's been quite a long time since I've been on the forums. I popped my head in briefly to talk about Calamity, but other than that I've been AWOL for a few years now. 

Anyways, I know that I'm going to get roped back in as soon as Oathbringer drops, so I thought I'd make my way back to the 17thShard a little earlier and get reacquainted with everyone, as well as update everyone as to what I've been up to over the past few years. 

While mostly I've been sticking to work, I've got a few exciting things I'd like to share with you guys. 

First off, I went to Gen Con last weekend and got to play Magic with get absolutely destroyed in a magic draft playing two headed giant with my brother against Brandon and Steve Argyle. In fact, Brandon beat us up so bad he ended up tweeting about it!

I also ended up finding a picture of our game on Steve Argyle's fb page!

(I also may have taken a bunch of creeper selfies as Brandon played rock paper scissors over my shoulder. Maybe.)

I've also been working on a book on and off for the past two years. It is my plan to get the first draft finished by the end of the year, earlier if possible. I look forward to sharing more details with you guys in the future! 

Finally, I wanted to share an upcoming project that I'm hoping to release in the next few months. I've gotten a group together and we plan on playing a recording an epic Mistborn Adventure Game campaign and releasing it as a podcast!  As of right now, the running title is "Lost Legends of Scadrial" and it will take place in the years following the Catacendre. I don't want to say too much about this just yet, but I'm incredibly excited for the story I've crafted and I can't wait to share with everyone. 

That's the major things that have been going on since I've been gone. In the next few weeks I plan on getting back in the habit of interacting on here, and I also plan on going back and reviving my "Monster Melee" threads, as I had a lot of fun with those. 

Looking forward to talking with everyone again! It's good to be home.

Thanks! I'm glad you made your way to the 17th Shard. I was super active back around when WoR released, but then life happened and I actually had to stop myself from coming onto the site because I had been spending way too much time on here. I know that there are going to be far too many secrets to discuss in Oathbringer though, so there's no fighting the pull.
