Mason Wheeler Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Has anyone asked Brandon this yet? Is the Everstorm something that comes up for every new Desolation, or is it something new for this latest one, the Night of Sorrows, the True Desolation?
Calderis he/him Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 The story tells us it's new. The listener song refers to "a new storm" and at the end of WoR Wit tells Jasnah "the storm has come and brings the change with it" to which she responds "that's not the way it happened before" We don't know exactly how things happened before. But the Everstorm is something new. 1

I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but it never said that the storm is something never seen before, Jasnah could know about the storm, but in the past desolations, the storm came later as part of the desolation and not at the start of it.
Nathrangking he/him Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 @DroughtBringer it certainly did not bring about the change and the rise of the voidbringers as that is what shocked Jasnah and forced her to admit that everything that she learned in shadesmar about the past desolations was useless. If there as an everstorm in the past then it was not anything like what Roshar is dealing with at this time.
