Color coding

If this is somewhere then please, let me know.

So, I like to type out my posts in full, inserting the italics, bold or spoiler tags as I can to save time. The only one I've been having trouble with has been the color coding. I've found out blue, red and purple through accident, by quoting other posts which contained those particular codes, but it would be helpful if there was a list on here somewhere saying what, exactly, the coding for each color was; that way, I'd at least have a quick cheat sheet to fall back on.

You can pick any color via a hex code, or I believe almost any HTML color code, such as here: http://www.computerhope.com/htmcolor.htm (this doesn't seem to be the best list, but it works). Any word that I have used has worked just fine in BBCode.

Also, I discovered that the orange A with the four colored boxes next to the "size" drop down allows you to highlight a word and change it's color.

This is the list I use. Just click to embiggen it. There are plenty of color choices available. It's by far the best list I've come across (I ended up bookmarking it when I found it because of how often I need to use it).

Huh. Wilson has a list. How completely unexpected.

 

Elimination game jokes aside, thanks. That's a lot of help; as I said, I've made myself memorise the codes for Blue and Red, because that's what we need for the game, but having a list like that (especially one I can quickly refer to) is a huge help. Thanks!

Well you can just do this:

Basically, bbcode recognises a lot of plain English color names - making the whole hexadecimal thing a little unneccesary, if more precise.

Take out the period, btw.

To get links like that, it's like this: Anchor text here [/url.] And remove the periods.

I typically just Google for the coding if I don't know something. Which is something I've done a ton since my text editor isn't working.
