Storming Radiant he/him
Hi everyone, I have a small question regarding Hemalurgy. So, if you spike someone granting him an ablity he already has that power will be enhanced, right? (Like with Vin, who was already a Seeker when she got the spike that allowed her to do the same thing so it gave her the abilitybto pierce copperclouds.) How will this effect any other allomantic and feruchemic abilities?
Calderis he/him
Stronger push/pull strength, further heightened senses... It increases the strength of whatever allomantic ability is effected. So a Rioter or Soother could hit the threshold for controlling a Kandra more easily for example. The downsides are the he that could let something control you, as well as an increased burn rate. Strength in Allomancy is tied to the metal itself so a stronger allomancer is more effective with their metal but burns the metal faster, in balance with the power put out. Weltall
We're not entirely sure how spiking a Feruchemist with a power they already have would work. We do know that Feruchemy-via-Hemalurgy is less efficient but the end-neutral nature of normal Feruchemy makes it unlikely that Hemalurgy-boosed Feruchemy would function in the opposite way (because it's Compounding that lets you get more out than you put in). It seems more likely that someone with enhanced Feruchemy could control their power more precisely than they normally could (perhaps using Pewter to selectively enhance strength instead of getting an overall increase, or having more precision when it comes to storing/tapping weight with Iron. One other possibility is that someone spiked for Feruchemy could tap their power more efficiently at higher multipliers. We know that you can tap at different rates than you stored (which is why Gold is useful at all for example) but there's the possibility for a slight loss of power the harder you push it even if the net 'power in/power out' figure is still mostly balanced. Maybe someone spiked could tap at higher rates with less loss of power?
teknopathetic he/him
I would like to see what the weirder powers like Gold or the 11th Metal would do when the skill was enhanced; maybe you could talk to the shadow? Apologies if this necroing but an enhanced version of those powers could be gaining more information of the shadow-self.
Kingsdaughter613 she/her
Yes, we can thank Kell for that little revelation. More specifically, you can see the moment when the current path was chosen, if my understanding of that scene is correct.
