Fionn
Don't know what took me so long to join, been a lurker for a while. Just wanted to formally post a hello. I have read all the Mistborn series, Stormlight archive, reading Arcanum Unbounded, Elantris (just started) and wheel of time (I know Robert Jordan was primary, but enjoyed Brandon's take as well). My son and I are both big fans and it gives us a common connection to talk about (he's actually read more than I have; he finished Legion and Steelheart too). StrikerEZ
Hey, welcome to the Shard! Have an upvote and a cookie! I swear it's not spiked delicious! Spoiler Also, I think it's so cool when family members can all read and enjoy books, which is absolutely the case with Brandon's books. He has a little bit of everything in his books, and I think everyone can find at least one book of his to like. Which book is your favorite? And which one is your son's favorite?
Fionn
That's a tough call...I would have said The Final Empire or even Alloy of Law (Wax is one of my avatar names I often use), but both of the Stormlight books are right up there. I think my son liked Words of Radiance.

I'd prefer to just have them all be equal, but if I had to choose a favorite, I'd be either Warbreaker or WoR. Maybe The Hero of Ages too.
Tesh
The SA is really good. I have actually only read seven of Brandon Sanderson's books and Way of Kings was the first book by him I ever read. By the time I was done with it, my favorite book. Ever. In the world. It was really good.

It was really good. I was not sure if I was going to like it (SA) after having finally finished WoT, but I got sucked in! I had put off Elantris, but started that last night. I have yet to be disappointed with any of the books, which makes it so difficult to choose a favorite.
Tesh
The only problem with them is the fact that I am obsessed. My friend who is also obsessed wore boots today and when she pulled them on we started yelling 'Boots! Boots!' I also have the dust jackets of the SA hung up on my bulletin board. I couldn't find any posters of the cover art online. And I used to think I was obsessed with Harry Potter.

That made me chuckle....as long as you didn't demand your friend immediately take them off and give them to you!
Tesh
*Awkward Silence* Just kidding. No. I didn't. Even though my eyes are a lot lighter than her's. Edited June 13, 2017 by Tesh Kholin
Fionn
Nice, I never thought about it, but guess I would fall in the Lighteye's camp as well
