Lindel he/him Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 I'm planning a roleplaying campaign that I'll be running with my friends, and I want to put together a playlist of background music to set the mood. The campaign will be a Firefly-esque space western. I've already pulled some songs from Firefly, obviously, as well as the soundtracks from Bastion and Titanfall, and I'm thinking about using a couple from Journey. I'm looking for additional suggestions. I'm especially in need some more intense songs that still have a similar flavor but would work well for combat. Any ideas?
Modal Seoul he/him Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 @Lindel The themes from old Westerns like The Magnificent Seven, True Grit, or The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly could set the mood. Or any song by Johnny Cash. 1

ParadoxicalZen he/him Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 The TV series, been ages since I watched so my memory of it's music is a bit foggy
mattig89ch he/him Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 There are songs from firefly that would work. That would be my suggestion. Srry I'm so late to the party btw
Ammanas Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 (edited) Perhaps the soundtrack for Cowboy Bebop. Edited September 15, 2017 by Ammanas 2

Pestis the Spider she/her Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Checkout western movie soundtracks by Ennio Morricone. Seriously, whenever western is involved, Ennio Morricone is the ultimate answer.
HelloMyNameIsDrBloodborne Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 The Mars soundtrack by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis.
