Merrickz
Hey there, So, apart from the Rithmatist (which I am reading at the moment), I have read all of Brandon's books and I'm looking for suggestions for series that are similar (in terms of diverse magic systems, good mystery, etc.) It be great if people could suggest any good reads Thanks very much
Reborn radiant
These are the books I suggest: KingKiller Chronicles: Amazing prose, great magic system. Light bringer: Many people compare brent weeks to bran san. But in my humble opinion brent weeks is no where near as brilliant or as masterful as Bran San. That doesn't make this series any less enjoyable, each book get successively better. wheel of time: Bran San rose into fame because of finishing Wheel of time. Though characters can be incredibly annoying, this series (atleast so far I have seen) is liked by most bran san fans. The magic system is incredible, the plot is nice and the world building is brilliant. Powder mage Trilogy: Some one once asked Bran San who he'd want to finish cosmere if he can't. He answered it would be Brian McClellan. That's all I needed to read this series :'D Hyperion Cantos: I know, I know you wanted a diverse magic system and this is a sci-fi. But among all the books I've read so far only this and dune come anywhere close to Bran San's worlds. I am not a big fan of Dune, but hyperion is amazing! Especially the world building, do read. If you want anything grim dark you can try Malazan, First law trilogy, Any of Mark lawrence's novels, the blood song trilogy.
StormyQueen
What Reborn Radiant said, but I can also recommend: Realm of the Elderlings: amazing series with an interesting world and magic, and some of the best characterisation that I have ever seen. The world isn't as in depth as the Cosmere, but it is very well built. It's written by Robin Hobb and starts with the Farseer Trilogy. She is also one of Brandon's favourite writers. Malazan: Book of the Fallen: While I haven't finished this yet, I've heard heaps of good things about it. It has a really huge world, and it's really on a huge scale like SA. As I've said, haven't finished or got very far through, but it is really good so far. Discworld: written differently, but are great, and hilarious books. Although they are comedy and parody books, they take place in a fantasy setting filled with bizarre happenings. If you want a more funny book like Warbreaker, then this is a good route to go. Not only are they hugely funny, but many of them have very deep messages. I would start with Guards! Guards!, but the books can mostly be read individually.
I Am Witless
Seconding @StormyQueen on reading the Diskworld books. They are different from anything that I've read before, but the whole world is hilarious, with deep philosophy thrown in willy-nilly. Mr. Sanderson himself enjoys Terry Pratchett. Calderis
And if you don't mind a little religious Parody, the joint work between mister Pratchett and Neil Gaimen "Good Omens" is pretty good too.
CarolaDavar
Set in Stone, by Frank Morin(?) Is reallllllly good. I love it. It isn't quite as good as Brandon's stuff, but it's one of the closest I could find
Fedcomic
Larry Correia's Grimnoir Chronicles has a very Sanderson-esque magic system (systems?) in an alternate 1930s earth. So like Wax and Wayne but with tommy guns and zeppelins. Definitely much faster-paced and more action-oriented than the Stormlight books. Immensely fun, very satisfying. Tesh
You might try some of Brandon Mull's stuff. It's a lot easier to read than Brandon Sanderson, but all of his books are really good. Edited June 9, 2017 by Smart Sloth

C. M. Hayden
The Kingkiller Chronicle, hands down. It's a wonderful series. A lot of crossover between fandoms too, which is strange considering just how different Rothfuss and Sanderson are as authors. Almost polar opposites.
