Sixth of the Dusk: Spoiler A man wanders around on an island, learning that nothing in the world is capable of being altruistic, except for birds. Mistborn: Spoiler A little girl joins a cult which believes metals have little bits of God inside. Then she kills the rival cult's leader and takes over the world, which she hands over to her boyfriend. Edgedancer: Spoiler A mentally deranged girl runs half way across the world on a quest to eat pancakes, while learning not to abuse her imaginary friend. Hmmm...
