By going into each stream, you can rename it, make it your default stream, or delete it. Setting something as your default stream is primarily useful on mobile, when the newspaper icon takes you automatically to your default stream, rather than opening a menu.

The activity streams are glorious. Thank you for making this happen. Is there any chance they will be available on mobile at some point? Is that possible? I, for one, would find it really useful.

I also agree it would be really cool if there were leaderboards for each forum. Or a way to filter/sort leaders by forum. For example, it would be nice to specifically see who is the current leader in the Stormlight Archives forum. But if this isn't possible I can live. :)

I've found no use for them beyond checking for new unread content (and excluding a few forums from there). What do you found so glorious about them?

I don't have time to read EVERYTHING EVERYDAY, and they help me keep track of things I care about most.

"Content I started" is nice because obviously I'm interested in any topic that I started. I guess it's maybe possible to set up notifications every time someone comments on a thread I started, and just use the notifications to keep track. But this is cleaner and easier to do on my own time.

Same thing for "Content I follow". I used to have to click my username, click "manage content I follow", and then click "Topics" on the left. With waits for a new page load each time. Now it's two easy clicks. Was there a better way to see followed topics before?

Lastly, I like having multiple filtered "Unread Content" streams. I've got one for all the Cosmere forums and one for 17S stuff (book signings, general, coppermind). So I can just get the unread content I'm interested in at the moment. You can also set up a custom stream for "Content I follow" but filtered to certain forums. So I could have one that's JUST "Stormlight Content I follow" for example. That's pretty useful!

Hmm. I guess. I just go to the global unread, scroll through, check out whatever I am interested in, and then mark everything as read.

Suggestion for a future Leaderboard update. I think it can very easily be used to generate a "Top Theories" list, which is something I think would be a huge benefit to have for newer members (and even some of us older members). Right now, filtering the leaderboard by "All-Time" and "Posts," I can get some of the most popular theories and posts, but it's pretty clogged with Brandon's 2012 Q&A topic. (Anything below 90 gets pushed off the list.) I think that if you can sort on only the first post (like a Topics option), that would let you better see what theories have been upvoted the most. (There will still be non-theory stuff, of course, but there will at least be more theories than there are right now.) If you ever implement a forum-by-forum filter as well (which has already been suggested), that could be even more useful to look at top Mistborn theories, etc.

I guess I'm looking at reputation as more relating to posts, than to members. There are some great theories, that have a lot of upvotes, that can only be found in a few members' signatures. I don't know how much you're able to do with the reputation system, but it could be a way to bring some of those theories out into the open a little better.

So guys, lots of you have suggestions for Leaderboards, but it is a default thing built in with IPS and hooks in the way that rep works. It can't be filtered in these ways. Sorry. Basically none of those improvements can be done. Rep is treated equally by the system. @Pagerunner cool idea but can't be implemented without significant dev time, which unfortunately means it probably won't ever happen.

@jofwu Streams are on mobile! Hit the menu and there's a My Activity Streams menu.

Such is life. I guess I'll need to start loading up my sig more.

Thanks for the transparency!

What I did was to put all my favorite forum posts (both from others and from myself) in my About Me page, which I link to in my sig. I'm not sure how effective that is in promoting those posts, though.

I really like this Skaa. As someone who has only been lurking for a year and a member for 5 months, I've read basically everything Cosmere-related on here over that time, but I've found it hard to triage what old threads I go back and read (and as a mobile-only user I don't see people's signature blocks unless I click on their profile, so maybe I've simply been missing other Cosmerologists doing this).

I think I'll start stalking the significant Cosmere-posters for this reason now. You've given me some good reading material!

Do you though? :) Given I'm over 600 and I almost exclusively post in Cosmere boards, there's a good argument I post way too much ;)

But you also have a higher reputation which means it isn't all fluff lol
