It is no secret that Brandon wanted his novella Legion to turn into a TV show. Some time ago, however, he said that the chances for that were slim - for all the regular reasons, plus an extra one - that a show called Legion, one set in the Marvel universe, was coming to TV. What's more important, it was about a "schizophrenic" whose schizophrenia was not a mental disorder but just how others were describing the abilities he has. The way Brandon made it sound, his Legion and Marvel's were too similar.

Well, that peaked my interest and I decided to give the show a shot when it came out - which it did, a few weeks ago. Episode 5 comes out this week. So I wondered if others here were similarly intrigued by the idea of a show that is similar enough to Brandon's Legion - or just of what I think has the potential to become a pretty great show for a somewhat niche audience (the cinematography feels... well, appropriately insane).

I just watched episode 4 and thought that I should start a topic for that

To be honest, I was interested in Legion TV series before I knew about Brandon's Legion. And I knew of the character Legion long before that (X-Men:Evolution was a great show, BTW).

I like the show - everytime episode ends I'm like "I WANT MORE", so... Anyway, while the show is great, I thought it would be a little different. When I did some reading on David I thought the Legion aspect would be more pronounced - from what I've gathered, his personalities often switch while on the show we have only seen the Devil With Yellow Eyes lurk somewhere in the corners and Lenny halucination appearing from time to time.
But I think it's actually better that way.

I did not understand Carry/Kerry explanation. I rewatched her backstory few times and I still don't get it - were both of them born separately or did he surface 9 months after her and she subsided for the next 8 years or what?

Oh, and Angry Boy is... kinda terrifying.

Legion is kinda boring. I'm not a fan of head trip stuff. The end of ep 4 was cool though

So now it's pretty much confirmed that David's father is Xavier? (The iconic X wheelchair)

Also, I loved the appearance of Rational!David. Starting to get a real Legion?

Loved it. Although I'm not a fan of the technobabble that usually accompanies superhero TV shows like this (I'm looking at you, Flash). But apart from that it was awesome.

I think 5 was one of the better ones. 6 was weird, and 7 was good again. But it's up to you, it's definitely a weird show.
