FAQ/Guide to Signings/Events

So there are probably lots of people who frequently go to meeting with Brandon. Could those people share how these things usually look like? Any advice, tips? How come there's always some recording?

Brandon's coming to Poland in March for the first time and I have zero idea what to expect. This isn't a Con, it probably will be an event hosted by the publisher company.

As a start, there's this Reddit thread, with responses from Brandon (among others). His top comment:

Quote

DO: Arrive on time, as there is a speech/reading/Q&A at the start.

DO: Bring as many books as you want. I'll sign them all, though will usually ask for you to pick only a few to have a personalization.

DO: Expect it to take a while. Unfortunately, my signings tend to run long. (However, you can feel free to go grab dinner after the presentation, and come back two hours later. I'll still be there.)

DON'T: Uh...try to give me fish sticks?

The fish sticks comment is a trick to weed out the uninformed. It is absolutely imperative that you give Brandon fish sticks. One per book you want signed. Trust me

It's true. I showed up with a single giant fish stick, and I could only get one book signed.

Unfortunately fish sticks are outlawed in Europe due to being too fishy, so no giving them to Brandon will happen. I guess we'll just provide him with a fresh supply of spikes instead.
