I have not found an explanation for why, but I have found evidence that Aluminum stealing powers is right. Marsh has an Aluminum Spike(its in the spoiler tag).

But the MAG isn't canon right ? For example I remember Marsh said to Vin in TFE He had 11 Spikes...There are also some weird contraddiction between Hemalurgy in books and MAG, I tried to recive a precise explaination from Peter but I didn't recive nothing more than a vague one

PS: I have a theory on Khriss who made errors in HoA's Ars Arcanum trying to fit the power stolen with the knowed metals...But I have no proofs

Well that's up for all kind of debates. The last time this discussion happened, Argel brought up this:

which would technically make it canon. On the other hand, things in the Books overwrite things in the MAG, which weakens the canonocity. Inkthinker said that it was run past Brandon, which makes it seem largely canon, but... and it just keeps going.

@The One Who Connects I know the MAG is canon until the books say otherwise but for example:

And the MAG turned out to be totally wrong with regard to how certain feruchemical powers worked. So I'm not going to assume it's accurate until the books confirm it.
