Oversleep
Simple question: Can Breaths be taken by a spike? I think I saw somebody quoting a WoB that it's not possible but I'm not sure and my searches proved fruitless. 1 Jondesu he/him
I think in addition to the WoB indicating they aren't, there's a tricky definition between Innate Investiture and Kinetic Investiture, which is a debate I've been seeing in several threads. I would like to find out if a person's original Breath could be taken with a spike, but not ones they've gained since then (which is a confirmed no). I think the person's original Breath, since it's actually considered part of their soul, albeit a "perforated" or removable part, could probably be stolen. Of course, it'd be easier to just force the person to give it to you, probably, but Hemalurgy might allow for some unusual uses for it, so it's possible we'll see or hear of someone at least trying to do that.

Breath are not stealable "because they are too physical, but you may steal a Divine Breath with Hemalurgy"
0 PewterAGoldF
If you could steal a breath, be it divine or origional, through hemalurgy, could you then give that breath to someone else or use it in awakening or a divine healing or something? or would it be stuck in the spike? Perhaps you could give the breath to someone or something with a command, throw the spike away and then they give the breath back to you. Also if you use tin hemalurgy on someone with sensory heightenings would you get the heightened senses? my guess is no, but the reason why would be interesting to me. Actually I think you may give an Hemalurgic Divine Breath, but I am not really sure. You will spike the Section of the Soul where the Divine Breath is bonded with the Returned and therefore you would be able to give it away like usual...but probably someone else may make a argomentation aganist this possibility. Notice that you need in some way to avoid the Divine Breath's Heal to performe what you ask, and I don't know how it may be performed. 2 hours ago, PewterAGoldF said: Also if you use tin hemalurgy on someone with sensory heightenings would you get the heightened senses? my guess is no, but the reason why would be interesting to me. I think we have a WoB about I will try to find it, only, notice you didn't need the hemalurgy to performe this experiment. You simply need to give enough Breath to a Tin Misting.
