My question: is it bad manners to take that Amazon copy to the signing? Sometimes they require you to buy the book from them to get into the signing. So I would check the details for the event you plan on attending. I've been to a few signings where places in the signing line have been reserved for people who purchased the featured book from the hosting bookstore.
