DeadFencer Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 I'm sure everyone knows about Akinator, but in case you don't it's a website that can guess any character you think pf based on yes or no questions. Any character. The only mistborn character I could stump it with was Allik.

It got Ruin, but it took three guesses getting there. (I was thinking more of Ati than Ruin, so I said 'yes' to 'is your character kind.' I think I confused it...) 1
Rasarr she/her Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 (edited) I've just managed to stump it with Marasi. For some reason it kept on asking me about vampire novel tropes. It also couldn't guess Tanavast, though I suppose it was on the right track with all the gods it was suggesting. And it still can't get Allik, either. Edited October 19, 2016 by Rasarr

Different author, but it didn't get Poledra from the Belgariad/Mallorian. It guessed her daughter Polgara though! I finally stumped it using Kelsier! Usually it guesses him but not this time. I think I confused it by saying Kel probably knows what a cell phone is (since he probably does survive to era three.) Then compounded it by saying he was over fifty (at this point) and had not been dead for a hundred years (ten being the likely max.) Ironically, it DID guess Vasher during this, who I wasn't thinking about at all! Edited October 19, 2016 by Kingsdaughter613

The same thing happens when I do Tolkien characters. It couldn't get Vivena, but it did guess Siri. Then it tried to guess Siri when I went for Vivena.

It still can't guess Allik, but at least when I typed in his name, it did know it.

I've also played it and worked to make it be able to recognize more of Sanderson's characters... (if your a bit patient you can put things in the system) You can still stump it with plenty of Sanderson charcters

Got to the "are they on this list of names?" and it wasnt there, so it gave up and asked for the name. It knew the name of course. So I tried it again, and it took 76 questions to get Blushweaver that time, but it did get it. Trying Hrathen at the moment. 1st guess was Hoid, 2nd was Logain from WoT, 3rd was the List of names: including Clubs, Marsh and Lightsong of all people. it failed
