Approved? I didn't know that was a part of the process. I just uploaded them into the gallery and they were there. Maybe the system is different now than when you tried it.

*Shrug* I'll go try it right now!

Edit: Hey, it worked!

Inquisitors? Freaky? It's like metal objects aren't supposed to go there and it's freaky when they are! No way!

Well it's one thing to do terrible things to people, but cats...  :(

This was just a random idea I had for a design and ended up being pretty easy to make. Being able to use someone else's "superman" design helped. Probably my favorite so far of the "swag" icons.

Radiant "swag" glyph set 3:

   Windrunner    ||   Skybreaker   ||   Dustbringer   ||   Edgedancer  ||  Palah's Glyph

   Lightweaver   ||   Eslecaller      || Kalak's Glyph ||    Stoneward    ||  Ishar's Glyph

Again, amazing! You make those so fast. I can never decide which to use. So I might rotate through them every so often.

Anybody have any suggests for a general them for the aon? I'd like to make some Elantris icons but having a hard time coming up with a general style for the aons. They vary so much compared to say the KR glyphs or the metal symbols that I'm stumped deciding on the general style.

Solid background or some kind of texture/pattern? Do the simple line glyphs (like the feruchemy chart) or stylize them (glow, etched, cracked... etc.)?

I think glowing would be cool. They're supposed to glow anyways. I don't really know what to do for the background though.

Any of these seem like a good theme to go with?

1.            2.          3.

Edit: Removed the initial test designs from my dropbox since I completed the set.

Not as rigid as 1, but not as glowy as 2. But thats just me.

I do like the third style, but that seems more of like a 'retro'ish style.

Everything looks really good though, great work! Keep it up.

Edit: Thought about doing any of the stylized Icon headings in Way of Kings for all of the Heralds? (and the Masked Man, too, cause that would be the coolest)

I don't usually nerd out and dress up for events but I find myself quite excited about attending a sanderson signing for the first time so I actually made myself a shirt to wear to it.

The small green print on the back is the second Edgedancer ideal.

If you are at the Houston signing on March 11th and see a short scruffy guy wearing that be sure to say hi. I'd love to meet some fellow shardians in person.

I'm happy to provide the graphic for anyone that wants to order their own shirts.

Yeah... probably not gonna happen unless someone pays me to design something like that  :P This design only took about 20 minutes to throw together since I already had the globe/glyph made. Just had to add the cracks. Making a separate theme for each KR order would take a lot of thought and time. I need to be using my extra time the next month getting ahead on work so I have free time to read in March. The cracked look goes well with the shattered plains, though, I thought

Woah! That might be one of the coolest t-shirts I've seen in a while - right up there with "I survived Bridge Four and all I got was soup"!

You wouldn't happen to sell these? Do you have one for the Elsecallers?

Posted (edited)

I don't sell them but I'm happy to send the graphic your way if you want to order one yourself from a custom shirt printer. I just used vistaprint to order mine. Cheap and easy but there are lots of online custom print places you can order them from. I threw together two versions of the elsecaller shirt designs aether. I ordered mine in white but I think it would look pretty good on a dark grey or black shirt as well if the cracks were white.

If you want a white shirt use THIS file. If you want a dark shirt use THIS file.

I just used vistaprints in store editor to add the text on the back of the shirt.

Let me know if you have any troubles getting those files to work and I'm happy to provide links for anyone else that wants a specific Radiant Order.

Edit: I never saw the design of the Bridge Four shirt but the idea is pretty hilarious. Wish they still sold them.

Received a special request for a version of the glyphs without borders (no relation to the doctors). The images below are also direct links to the files. Enjoy!

I have a question. How often do you yourself change your profile picture? You seem to have at least one new one everyday.

Posted

Whenever I put up new icons I usually set my own pic to one just to make sure the link is working well and that the icon looks good in the different profile pic sizes. Plus it's advertising my new work a bit. I usually go back to my personalized version shortly thereafter though.

I got bored so...

Yea? Nay? I think it needs a border of some kind, but I'm not sure...

Edit: put up a smaller version with a slight bevel on the border.

I know you've done a ton of work on this stuff already, and they all look awesome (pun not intended), but is it at all possible to make the Radiant Order glyphs look like they're engraved onto their order's respective gems, or even better glowing from inside? I'm not sure how you could do it, but it looks great in my head.

I like it Serendipidity. Some good work. I really liked the allomany/feruchemy mixed glyph you had before too.

Yeah, I had that in mind for a future project. I'm trying to show some love for some other cosmere books first though and then I'll come back to stormlight and see if I can come up with something interesting for the gems.

In honor of Brandon's first published work, the Aon glyph set is finished. This is sort of how I pictured them when Raoden painted them in the air.

There are too many of them to give a preview of all 33 glyphs but the first 15 are displayed below. The links for the entire set are after the preview. The design and meaning for all of them can be found on the coppermind. (Nothing against your design Serendipity, I do like it, but I've been working on these off an on the last few days and finished them shortly after your post).
