Here it is!

Basically, at the rate he's going, and with no tours or other interruptions planned, the first draft should be finished around mid-October. He's finished up through Part Two, as well as all of the Dalinar flashbacks, and the word count is 247k of an estimated 400k. Also, he's trying out a new process in an effort to speed up revisions. After he finishes each part, he's sending it to his team to do continuity and editing while he keeps writing, which means the second draft should be finished more-or-less at the same time as the first draft.

As for actual content:

Part Two turned out well, though it's a slower, more lore-and-character focused section. (It includes some viewpoint chapters I think you'll find unexpected and interesting, though it has less action than other sections of Stormlight.)

Any speculation on who the "unexpected and interesting" viewpoint characters might be? Personally, I think it would be very interesting to learn more about Tezim, the Tukari god-priest.

Part 2 has novelette 2 according to the outline. It's also the only part with Tertiary character 3. He's stated in a previous post that novelette 2 character hasn't had PoV chapters yet. That's probably who the unexpected and interesting character is.

Anyone wanna bet that the word count is gonna exceed the target by a fair amount? Say, at least 450k?

IIRC, the word count is the largest size book that will fit in the binding. WoR was pushing it for the binding. So if that does happen, he will need to cut scenes out.

Eh, I remember reading a comment by Peter that that fact was played up to be more important than it actually is.  There are a number of things that can be done if it does run longer, such as making the text smaller and going to a different printer.

See? See? They are already preparing for the inevitable :)

I may add that another thing they can do is cut away a minor plotline and make a novelette out of it.

400k would be the same size of words of radiance, which is 398k. For some reason, I assumed wor to be at around 500k.
