I would like to see this, because if his exact wording was "he changed his suit multiple times", then that leaves coat singular, and could mean that he changed his coat in its nature, not that he changed into a different coat. On the other hand, if he said "he changes coats", or "he is wearing different coats each time", that rules out the possibility of Brandon using the English language to wiggle out of the question.
