Random Observations R Me Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Does anyone else find it odd that the spren interested in honor and doing what is right hides from people and is annoyed when she is asked to show herself, while the spren interested in lies is visible by default? Or, am I just missing something?
Stormgate he/him Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Honor is about not submitting to every request. Lies...maybe they aren't liespren? Maybe some combination of lie and truth?
18th Shard he/him Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 lies are given more power by the more truthful they are. The most effective lie is the one that is so similar to reality it is indistinguishable, but produces a different effect on the person you tell it to.

Stormgate he/him Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 The best lies are completely true but presented in a context where they are percieved as being false.
natc Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 On another note. What does doing the right thing have to do with being seen? Would it even matter if people knew or not? You're about honor and righteousness, not glory and recognition of good deeds. Of course, Syl likes being worshipped by Rock, but that's mostly because it's hilarious how nice and easily trolled he gets.
Argel he/him Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 (edited) How about if everyone could see the Honor spren then would they believe someone is honorable because of said person's actions or because they saw the honor spren? By remaining hidden from most, the actions of their chosen ones are perceived on the merits. Seems to fit. Edited March 27, 2016 by Argel 1
