Kalen is going to be meeting with New Council with a task to track down and recover their rogue Jedi. Who is the current head of the council?

master Kyran. a Zabrak like darth maul. he is very wise but also very strict. he has an orange lightsaber. 

 

you can come up with your own if you'd like, but then people will pm you for information whenever they interact with the council.

 

maybe we should all take a part in the council?

That's a good idea Mark. Is this ok with you? I figured since you were banished the Order would be keeping tabs on you via the new Sentinels *wink wink* and they would someone capable to pull you out of a huge mess. I'm not saying I will pull you out or do exactly what the order says but I will go find you. (The *wink wink* was that it's conceivable that Kalen is a Sentinel. Nothing set in stone though, he might just be a hired hand to the order.) Also, I know in cannon Mandos can't be force sensitive but isn't it conceivable that after all these centuries they could be?

It would make sense that if he was going to be a Jedi, he's be one that rarely uses his force powers outwardly or wield a lightsaber.

Equipment: Traditional heavy Beskargam (full heavy gunner status) in a dark green almost black with red accents (oops wrong Deathwatch... Hehe) Six shot revolver .50 caliber slug thrower holstered horizontally on his lower back, breakdown rail sniper rifle with target finding scope slung across his back and a shortish (2.5 ft long haft) beskar axe in a loop on his right hip. The axe haft is made of the shin of a rancor. The forearm plate of his left arm is wider and thicker than the right to use as a shield against most melee attacks. (its basically a buckler thats insulated against riot batons)
Alignment: Light grey ( hates the sith for what they did to his people)
Ship: Mid class, agile and combat ready. Hyperspeed compatible. Same color scheme as his armor. There is an armory and training room located in the aft deck with more weapons than just his standard equipment.

Personality: Kalin rarely speaks and is often gruff and to the point when he does. Spending most of his life hunting and destroying dangerous humanoids and dark side artifacts has turned him a smidge paranoid and senile but he respects the Jedi and what they stand fpr even if it's too much faith for him.

 

 

 

the idea that the Order is keeping tabs on Valran is very conceivable. I like it, though if you could put in that they lost track of him while he was on Coruscant, that'd work great.

I also think we should have a group post here or on a google doc so that I can post it in one go for cohesion's sake. We'll have Kalin standing in the center of the room before the council and they'll give him the break down. Something about how their sentinels were tracking a rouge jedi when they lost track of him on Coruscant. They need me to track him down and bring him back so that they can find out why he was there.

 

Alternately, we could all make a council member with their traits and habits and give me free reign. It's up to the council ;P

nah, I like the idea of the council actually being made up of multiple people. we'll have to see what everyone else thinks, but I am totally in.

I too like the idea of the council almost being an actual council. Also, when I'm less busy I'll post.

I do too. Everyone would have a member on the council regardless of our main allegiance, it'll give us the chance to try other povs and progress the story more naturally

also, doing some research on force abilities, I have found that absolutely everything can be done with the force, from transferring your soul into other bodies to making a freaking wormhole in the freaking fabric of space.

Yeah the Force is awesome. I'm sure you could even do some elemental things like a mage.

 

I'm fleshing out Kalin right now. Some of his equipment will be different and his vehicles are gonna be more detailed than "Medium class ship".

 

Also, quick vote on if it's okay that he's a sentinel? Like I said earlier, he rarely uses his force powers externally. But when he does... oh boy. Basically sometimes he goes a smidge berserk and really wrecks shop, that's the main reason he's so reclusive, so that he can meditate to keep his Mandalorian rage in check. Being around Sith and Dark Side artifacts from hunting them so much has caused a little bit of the dark side to bleed through and he fights desperately to fight it. He's usually very good at it, he gets mad but he very rarely goes full rage monkey.

 

If you guys prefer that he's just a Mando hired by the Order I'm totally okay with that too.

That was as awesome as it was detailed!

About his force abilities and him going berserk, I think that it might be cool to mix up the two and have him be a bit force sensitive, but a very weak one who wants to become better. He is allowed to work with the sentinels because, let's be honest, he could kick all their buts while sipping their tea.

I pictured Riddick in Crematoria just now... "I'll kill you with this tea cup"

 

I like that idea though. I want him to also have a set of lighter armor as well, similar to that of the AR500 brand armor that's being made this year. Still much more coverage than Boba's but not quite as heavy as his main set which is, let's be honest, basically a Madno-ized set of T-51 power armor.

 

I forgot to put in there last night that his gauntlets have ridges on the knuckles and a small computer to interact with his ship and speeder as well as his recon droids. It's located on the inside of his left forearm with a flip up door panel. Oh yeah, and he has a few recon droids and a pair of heavily modified "Satellite Droids" that hover over him for support fire if he's on a hardcore assault mission.

 

I'm going to write up a training scene between him and a group of younger sentinels. He's gonna be training them in hand to hand combat. He pushes them hard but teaches them well.

I'm trying to write my first post for IX39-B, and I realized how difficult it is to write a character who has no emotions.

Try to write from the view point of a high functioning sociopath. It's quite similar.

 

also, droids seem to be able to feel at least some emotions. for example: c3-po. 

 

and every droid has peculiarities that make it weird in its own way. make him arrogant or something like that.

Allegra Riburn
Race: Human (I was toying with making her a Twi'lek, but decided against it)
Appearance: Copper hair, Violet eyes, Slender build, 5'7"
Weapon of choice: Dual purple lightsabers, one for each hand.
She has met Valran once before, on her first mission with her master. She was 12 then. Now she goes on missions to the outer rim on a regular basis.

She could be at the forefront of the faction wars, fighting the Sith and all that. Or she could be on tatooine, trying to get valran off his rear end and into the fight.

Name: Rook Feskitt
Race: Human (this may change)
Appearance: Dark hair, dark eyes, lean, about 6 feet tall.
Age: 21
Description: Raised on the commonly ignored planet of Myrkr, Rook was raised alongside criminals, pirates, and bounty hunters from a young age. He proved himself valuable to these kind of scum due to his high intelligence. At the age of thirteen he created his own customized Mandalorian armor, which impressed several gang leaders. After saving up enough money, he eventually fixed up his own spaceship, which he can use as a base of operations. He tamed a Vornskr, a canine beast native to Myrkr. These creatures have the odd ability to sense the force, which has helped Rook hunt down Jedi and Sith alike. While he will do his fair share of questionable jobs, he does occasionally do things for the greater good.

I may update this in a bit.

Have him do something illegal, like break someone out of jail, or litter, or assassinate someone vaguely important. Or all three. Have him restoring an old x wing fighter or something like that

Age: 300. Lifespan is 2000 years.

Personality: As likeable as a SPACE DRAGON could be. Very smart.
Other: Can breath underwater: genetic mutation

I honestly have no idea what to suggest with this one. Leader of a grey Jedi organization? Meditating on the known universe? Catching flies with chopsticks?

Maybe you could describe a chase scene. He's running from someone or something. He has something important in his care that if the Sith found then they would win the war.

Hey Patar. Do you want Kalin and Rook to know each other? Could you give some more info on his mandalorian-ness? I found a Mandalorian dictionary the other day and used that a lot in my character build.

Also, is every one going to make a council member? And I would like someone to play as Joral's Sentinel Master when we have our "parent teacher conference"

so, i came up with an idea. you know the sith have some sort of super weapon in the oven (cuz thats what they do) I propose the Death fleet. a fleet of ships that has enough firepower to destroy a planet. it seems better than just having another death star and these will be harder to kill.
