Why must an Epic stand up to Calamity personally? Conflux never did that.

 

I think it's just the redemption story for Flashpoint/Edgerunner that might need to be tweaked for me.

Because nothing implies that Conflux was actually completely redeemed. In retrospective his story about Steelheart imprisioning him with dogs and his weakness only getting less effective makes it fairly clear that his talk about not having a weakness in Firefight was a straight up lie. And while mostly gifting powers and not using them seems to have him a fairly nice guy his insistance on being sold to Night's Sorrow can also easily be taken as lingering traces of corruption, in fact his motivation in all of this is purely selfish.

 

So what you're saying is, that he really should have taken off his shirt for Reader?

Clearly it would only work if his motives were pure and for the sake of another person, like giving Autumn a peep show.    

 

I think they need better team-building exercises.

haha well she isn't named yet but she is the one he recruited, yeah I couldn't pass up the chance to build connections, character connections are what make things feel real!

A vapid, vain Epic that Comatose introduced in one of the Skinsaver posts mentioned that he had a party friend named Slaughterine. After Iconoclast recruited that nameless lady Epic, Coma suggested that that could be her in order to establish better character interconnectedness and such.

(Granted, Salem is so early that I could basically reboot her whole character right now, but still..)

I could also make a Corvallis post, as I think I'll be joining there, although Salem also looks like a blast. "Come on Seef, we got some reckoners to kill/toy with until they give up on life."

Haha, I saw it this time. Honestly, the amount of writing in relation to how easy this would be to undo doesn't make this seem like an attempt at troling or anything like that... but the godmodding (assuming it wasn't cleared first) and whole etiquette breach of not showing up here, after already being pointed in the direction seems... dubious.

And...having read it, I agree. This seem's too elaborate -and too much time- for simple trolling. I'd say they don't quite understand how things "work", so to speak.
