can't wait to read calamity and then go back and open all those spoiler tags haha XD

Trolling for no reason whatsoever.

EDIT: aaand finished

Not the best ending but pretty satisfied with everything. Severely disappointed that we don't know Mizzys powerset.

Running list of ways Calamity is destroying my characters:

Epic twins have identical powersets, not different like Impact and MV which means they need to have their powers retconned or else I need them to secretly have both powers which means they're both some of the most overpowered Epics in the game.

You could always retcon them into being fraternal twins who look identical.

Have you finished yet?

This is pure torture for us poor saps who haven't actually read it yet. I hope you're all happy.

On a 'side' note, I've shortened Falchion's weapon list to Butterfly Swords, Kunai, Sai, and Claymores.

This should still give me some variety and let me do cool things with this character, while still being realistic.

*does a happy dance because Claymores and butterfly blades are the best*

Well now I'm finished it and have no one to talk to about it so I guess we're even. :P

Minor spoilers

Working on a list of the ways Calamity affects things, most happily though it makes it possible for us to RP redeemed Epics and people with Motivator tech. Though unfortunately we now can't have anyone from the foundry.

Don't worry Voidus, I'm in the last 5%.

Eh, the actual logistics around Motivator tech still make it pretty hard to integrate. Someone like Lucentia and Rainmaker could buy some but appart from that? Given that it takes months at best to actually make some and even then they can be duds, the idea of anyone making them on their own and not selling them seems pretty flimsy.

GGGGGRRRRRRRRRR.....

*hit the spoiler tag, read the first words, almost have a heart attack, and close it before I can read any more*

Yay! :D

The Empire could manage it, between the Carlisles and Funtimes they have three experts in biology, physics and engineering, two of whom are intimately familiar with the creation of Epic tech. Knighthawk is working under less than ideal circumstances and there's only one of him and that quote of a few months was for an Epic with multiple powers all of which are pretty powerful.

I have finished!

True enough, although I guess they are somewhat of an annomality.

On the redeemed Epics bit... well full redemption seems to require actively standing up to Calamity, so that's out but the partial bit works just fine.

Okay consequences for my Epics:

Voidgaze still needs to go on a diet.

Jack... is pretty much fine the way he is, although those strip shows would help.

It might be best if I tweek Lucentia's weakness a bit. Tecnically it would still work but I wasn't all that fond of it anyway, so I might as use staying on the side of caution as an excuse.:P

Don't mind me. Just posting a super short and lackluster Sam response while everyone's too busy reading Calamity to notice.

Oh don't you worry. The response is very appreciated. ;)

I finished Calamity.

So, will the RP end up this way? Heroes, not villains. Also, is Calamity an alien?

The location of oregon certainly not, because that is way before Calamity left, if we ever move on after it is destroyed and maybe take a couple of characters with us, then yes, we could end up with much more heroic characters.

More somekind of eldritch abomination ala Cuthulu.

Ah.. I understand now. Thanks  :)

Storms. I'm only 7% through. I'm probably going to stay away from this thread till I'm done. If you need something, PMing me would be the fastest way.

A Wastelands post! At long last! XD

Now to invade the Wasteland with an

Assumer/Dowser High Epic that can create duplicates and fill them with the powers she assumed.

end of Calamity spoilers spoilers

But given that it turned out to be Calamity we can assume that no other Assumer could absorb powers permanently like that.

Well yes but for one David has been shown to kind of backpadle on general statements he made about powers. Like there being a good number of powers that are at least fairly similair to Mitosis, so I just have to add a caveat like the powers only being assumed for as long as the duplicate remains unharmed.

On a side note, I figured it would probably be best to edit that statement into a spoiler, so maybe you could add that into your quote as well?
