Have you done Shadesmar yet? Also, the palace on the Shattered Plains would be interesting. I don't know what you have already done, so I am just listing everything I can think of. I don't know if there is enough detail, but what about Hearthstone, Kaladin's home town? Also, the battlefield where *ahem* Amaram won his Shards (avoiding spoilers) would be cool. Well done on Kharbranth, as well! Although, I wonder if boat design would be affected by the regular highstorms. My only problem, and a minor one at that.

The prologue scene where they view the scene of the battle with the burning rocks or the recreance flashback scene.

Also the throne room in Uriteau with the 10 thrones for the ten kingdoms (not sure if there is enough detail)

I thought the same thing. Kholinars Windblades.

And to change your profile pic, go to your profile and it should say change pic on the 17th shard logo.

Personally I'd love to see your rendition of the Tower of Urithiru. In my mind I see a giant Japanese looking skyscraper and I know that that is probably wrong but until I see what it really looks like it won't go away.

I haven't done Shadesmar, no. In fact, this is my first serious environment piece from the books, so there's plenty that I haven't done yet =)  There are a bunch of votes for Shadesmar between this forum topic and all of my social media, so it's a likely one to come out of the hat.

I partially agree that there should be some adjustment made for the ships due to possible high storms. It seems like every dang thing in Roshar would need to be built to compensate for Highstorms, but there IS mention of the fact that ships wouldn't be caught dead outside of a protected bay in one. Or rather, they would be caught and made dead if they were. So that makes me wonder if they wouldn't have had to be too terribly different from the kinds of ships we sail on earth.   Good thought, Stormgate!

Funny Story, I actually started out this assignment with the intention of trying Kholinar and its wind blades, but ended up backing off of that idea, just because I didn't have as much information about it as I did about Kharbranth and I wanted to ease into this whole environment concept design thing.  But I'll keep my fingers crossed that that's the option that comes out of the hat. I'd love to tackle them giant rocks =)

Ummm, I absolutely want to share my stuff with Sanderson =) Do you know of a better way to reach him than the contact page on his website? Tried that once, and (understandably) never heard back. Can't imagine how much email he gets through there. Do you know if he's on the forums?

Thank you all so much for commenting, complimenting, and sharing ideas of what you'd like to see next. I've got 37 votes in hand at this point, and I'm going to print them out, cut them apart and put them into a drawing for what I'll paint next.

I'm going to put EVERY vote in, regardless of whether it's a duplicate, so that the subjects that got more votes have a proportionately higher chance of getting drawn. And, of course, I'm going to post the result in here as soon as I have it.

I'm considering setting up a web page where I'll document the progress of the project, post up tutorials on how I approach the different parts, talk about concept art and rendering techniques, that sort of thing.

Would that be of any interest to you all?

Do you have a Twitter account? If you just tweet the picture to him and Peter Ahlstrom, one of them will see it and probably re-tweet. I've gotten responses from tweets to both of them, and I didn't even have any sweet art to share.

Yeah he's much more responsive via twitter. Sending him emails is sort of like dropping him a letter versus actually talking to him.

It's @BrandSanderson, and @PeterAhlstrom for Peter, fyi.
