I had a thought as I was reading some speculations on honorblades here:

And wondered if Jezrien remained behind in alethkar and helped found the kohlin noble family. Their color schemes match, blue and white, and they forge alethkar into a coherent kingdom, taking after Jezrien's honorable leadership qualities. This isn't the most substantial evidence, but worthy of at least being speculated on. Also I feel the brief description of Jezrien in the prologue of WoK was fairly reminiscent of Dalinar.

"The figure in white and blue glanced toward him. Even after all these centuries, Jezrien looked young, like a man barely into his thirtieth year. His short black beard was neatly trimmed, though his once fine clothing was scorched and stained..."

"[Dalinar] rode with his helm tied to his saddle! exposing a square face topped by short black hair that had gone white at the temples... His nose was the wrong shape, his feature blocky rather than delicate. It was the face of a warrior."

It was my impression that the Kholins weren't all that honorable or honorably intentioned when they set about uniting Alethkar.

The only similarities between Jezrien and Dalinar is that they both have black hair and they both have beards. A lot of people are brunettes. It's not exactly Targaryen silver here.

Also, I've always assumed that the Herlads took a huge fertility malus when they receive their roles, or maybe they all have the celibate trait or whatever to balance out their immortality and prevent them from creating an army of superbabies. Otherwise, their descendants could easily blob uncontrollably and take over the world!

Well, apparently Shallash is Jezrien's daughter (can't find source), so either they became Heralds after she was conceived, or Jezrien can have kids and still be a Herald.

I agree. Gavilar only became more honorable in the months leading up to his death, by all accounts, and Dalinar's getting there. This is quite a time after Alethkar was united.

It is hard to argue that Gavilar was incredibly charismatic and a person who made people want him to lead, though. I'm not very confident that would be passed down from Jezrien, though. The colors of the Kholin family are also the Windrunner's, so there's a connection there. Could be that a nameless Windrunner was responsible for founding the Kholin house.

Nohadon was king in Kholinar and windrunners are the order that specializes in leadership.  It is not inconceivable that the Kholins are descended from Nohadon.  I assume that Jezrien and his daughter were selected as Heralds at the same time, and long before Nohadon was born.  It seems like Jezrien could have fathered some ancester of Nohadon's before, if not after, he became a Herald.
