Vin's precognition (The Final Empire spoilers)

In The Final Empire, Vin has a possible moment of precognition. She knows she could Sooth the High Prelan, but this happens:

Vin prepared her Luck. She could make Arriev more inclined to believe . . . but, something restrained her. The situation felt wrong.

As those who read the book know, this feeling was confirmed by the fact that one Steel Inquisitor eventually went after her. For those of you who ignored the spoiler warning, shame on you. Go read the book, then come back.

Anyway, my question is, was Vin's feeling simply street-born instincts, the result of Allomancy either on Vin's side or the Inquisitors, or perhaps the influence of Preservation? There may be other options, but I can't think of any. While I may be jumping to conclusions, but I feel that chasing red herrings is better than letting the big one get away.

Edit: Typos

Vin is a Sliver, maybe that is part of the residual effects.

Yeah, Sliver isn't the right term. Still, whatever her deal was, she was special enough that even Sazed after holding both Shards couldn't figure out what exactly why she was like this, so I guess there could be a connection.

I also don't see why that is relevant, since we are talking about something that happened before the Well. Anyway, I think it is either Ruin or Preservation subtly manipulating her emotions.

I really doubt that Preservation did something about. Leras was quite mindless end also Preservation's power seems to be very inefficent to influence people. Probably it was simply Ruin that want Vin safe

wasn't that event before she put in the earring that gave Ruin influence over her? She didn't start wearing that until after they left the building and she intended to run IIRC.

That'd make it purely her instincts and gut feeling about the situation.

Not really. Ruin needs the earring to speak to her, but what we saw was more like a subtle emotional manipulation, like Rioting.

If there's any reason for it to be something beyond survival instincts, it's because it happened twice at least. However, I don't think we know why Vin was so talented at Allomancy, so perhaps it's related. Perhaps a low burn of bronze alerted her to Hoid's many Investitures, and freaked her out.

I think it had more to to with Hoid's humming, maybe he was humming the rhythm of her steel or something? And that's what subconciously weirded her out. If it was something Vin detected with bronze, the next bit - about her being instinctive and Elend needing reasons - wouldn't make sense to me.
