Mailliw73 he/him Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 3 new people? Wow. How'd this happen?
Voidus Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 One creepy Nighthound decent coming up. I'll leave it a bit open, in case Kobold has objections. descent* Nighthound is never decent.
Edgedancer he/him Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 3 new people? Wow. How'd this happen? Not wholy sure myself, it's certainly good news, though. descent* Nighthound is never decent. Murdalina begs to differ.
Mashadar Mistborn he/him Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 (edited) 3 new people? Wow. How'd this happen? Twi, Kobold and I did some recruiting on Random Stuff. Edited November 14, 2015 by Mashadar Mistborn
Edgedancer he/him Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Hmm, I might qualify Shatterblast as a high epic. And Event Horizon and Reflection will join them if things get out of control. And if need be, Quicksilver might offer some remote help. Depends, does his power work automatically and absorbs the momentum of whatever hits him? Then I'd count it but also ask why he works for Quicksilver, if he could just stomp the guy. Two, Kobold and I did some recruiting on Random Stuff. Three, there's also patar365. Although, it seems like he advertised with a character the he's about to have killed off (assuming Fatebreaker isn't just showing a lot of bravado).
Mashadar Mistborn he/him Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 I meant Twi, Murderlina just snuck past me.
ChickenPlague he/him Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 (edited) Me: *trying to create the ice epic companion for Bird* My brain: Here you go a young man who Bird is trying to teach manners so he can invite people to and participate in fancy balls where she can get clients for her clothe's making businnes. He is catching up quickly on the manners part but his handwriting is atrocios so he hires a young woman to write for him and falls in love with her. Bird also likes her but she acidentally scares the girl away with a horse sized dog. Me: woohoo My brain: His powers are temperature change of objects and frost pulses(will explain later in his bio). When using them he is merciless for if he is attacking he is going to kill. Me: Good job those are cool powers. My brain: And HERE is an Epic with the power to grow ice from his hands, shoot steam, and superstrength(will explain later in a bio). Me: Well I like these powers. And what would his personality be? My brain: He is considered a simpleton by most even though he is simply smart enough to realize what he is good at and leave everything else to other people. He realizes he is a force of destruction and agressive protection. He latched on to becoming an Epic as his second chance. He trains everyday and has quite thuroughly tested his powers. He serves a master if he considers him worthy. Upon arriving in Salem he will join the city and use the arena for training. Me: F**k you brain. You gave me these options so you better decide. My brain: Just ask other people online. Ok guys so i am asking which I should pick. The likeable guy and merciless killer or the competent and epic Epic? Edited November 14, 2015 by Dayblood

On a serious note, if you want only one, I'd pick the guy with the connection to the arena, given that it is hte central piece of the location.
ChickenPlague he/him Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Actually edge I think i will do bouth. Coldpin(young epic) will be the companion since he has a stronger conection to Bird and Glacier will arrive seperately. Although this will mean that my 2 characters are both ice epics. Anyways thanks Edgedancer for setting me on this train of thought.
Kobold King he/him Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 (edited) Agh! Too much to think about too early in the morning! First things first: welcome Mistrunner, Honor Spren, and Patar! You're all welcome additions to the RP. I can definitely see Vondra sending an operative to scout out other cities. They'd be ordered to keep their heads down, not interact with the Epics there, and above all else not to allow info on The Dalles' situation to reach Epic ears. ...Playing as a Warrior of Light named Batman? While the potential for coolness is certainly there, there'd be an awful lot of your character being shot in the head and re-resurrected until what remains of his burgeoning personality has been purged from his system. Or just fed to a dinosaur while Lightwards fetches someone new. Backtrack would take a ride, though since Lightwards will be coming to the ground soon it'd be rather pointless. Lightwards is just going to take him to the ground again anyway. Finally, what's this about Fatebreaker killing off a character? I don't think I heard anything about this. Eh, I'll just leave the post open, either you guys take the ride or you just hide from the creepyiness. I'm refering to this statement, implaying the Panda's death. The Pandas won't be around much longer... Not that it would be the first time he phrases something like a character's death at his hand is already decided without it actually being, so ya know that's why I'm asking.

Well, I hate to pull rank, but I'm the one Lightsworn put in charge of the character, and I haven't heard anything about this. So the Panda's here to stay.

The Honor Spren she/her Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Pony Magnolia: Nice! My first question is how has her sarcastic streak factored into her interactions with Epics? The most notable time when her sarcasm came into play, would be when she somehow got into conversation with an epic (without knowing what they were). At some point during their discourse, she said, "Yeah, because you're obviously an epic." The irony was beautiful, . But Magnolia is kindof paranoid and knows when to keep her mouth shut, so if she knows it's an epic she's encountered, the most she usually does is grit her teeth and try to keep herself from punching them (for her own survival) and/or run the other direction as quickly as possible.
Edgedancer he/him Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 As Voidus wished, there was a post, in which NIghthound wasn't decent. For me the spoiler tag is empty. So, am I right in the assumption that she'll be living somewhere in Portland?
Voidus Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Guess the Carlisles left the entranceway in search of Lightwards or Funtimes then
Edgedancer he/him Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Guess the Carlisles left the entranceway in search of Lightwards or Funtimes then I didn't think they would have stood there for that long. Plus, I'm pretty sure, that some of the turn of events we had only really make sense, if there's more than one exit.

Plus, I'm pretty sure, that some of the turn of events we had only really make sense, if there's more than one exit. Well since Lightwards was busy when they arrived I kinda played with time a bit so they arrive when he's free. But now that they'll probably have to just accompany Lightwards back down anyway I guess it doesn't matter. Or they might just ignore everyone and start setting aside some space for a lab.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted November 14, 2015 Author Posted November 14, 2015 And then Nighthound was mercilessly slaughtered by a horde of angry fathers and older brothers armed with guns, knives, and his weakness. Lucentia, meanwhile, was condemned to an eternity of calling customer service and getting this guy: 1
Kobold King he/him Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Okey dokey, Dalles city operative it is. How would the operative be told to respond if he did accidentally make contact with an Epic? Cower and kiss his boots if he asks you to. If he asks where you're from, say you've been wandering the countryside and have come to his realm for his protection. Epics lap that stuff right up. Save the defiance for the home front.

Kobold King he/him Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 "Hey….don't I know you?" "Only as your servant, O Mighty Backtrack!" Calling him "O Mighty Backtrack" would only frighten him, the poor dear. 2
