Patar he/him Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 The animation styles of Atlantis and Treasure Planet are VERY similar, and the two were made around the same time. The plots for the two of them are similar as well. Atlantis is about a journey to a legendary lost city in the sea, Treasure Planet is about a journey to a legendary lost planet.
The Honor Spren she/her Posted November 11, 2015 Author Posted November 11, 2015 Let's go with that then!
Kestrel she/her Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 !!!! I've been meaning to watch it! I will for sure this saturday, but might not with you guys. Animation teacher is planning a work day from 3pm to like 9pm.
MrMistborn he/him Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I don't know if I can find it anywhere legally....
Patar he/him Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 So does 8 p.m (Eastern Standard Time) still work for everybody? Should we move it to 9-ish for Lark?
The Honor Spren she/her Posted November 14, 2015 Author Posted November 14, 2015 I think 9 might be a little too late . . .
Patar he/him Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Anyone else coming? Right now I'm the only one in the chat room.
The Honor Spren she/her Posted November 15, 2015 Author Posted November 15, 2015 (edited) Noooooo!!!! I missed it!!!! I was sewing a dress. Edited November 15, 2015 by The Honor Spren
Patar he/him Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Haha no problem! There'll be plenty of opportunities for more movies!
The Honor Spren she/her Posted November 15, 2015 Author Posted November 15, 2015 Okay . . . But still . . . For next week, I vote Emperor's New Groove.
Left he/him Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I'm actually going to be able to watch this Saturday, what about National Treasure or How To Train Your Dragon 2?
RippleGylf she/her Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Oh, I completely forgot. National Treasure would be fun. I actually didn't like How to Train Your Dragon 2. The original was very different from the books, but did it well. The second one just felt very cliche, but that didn't stop me from tearing up at some parts. The thing I hated most was the very poorly constructed villain. It totally makes sense that he can control dragons by waving a pole around and shouting, right? Ranting aside, it was okay, I guess, but I honestly prefer the original. How about Pirates of the Caribbean?
Left he/him Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 So we're looking at these three for Saturday The Emperor's New Groove : 1 vote National Treasure: 2(?) votes Batman DKR : 1 vote
Eerongal he/him Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Haha, make sure it's available for everyone since countries are different. Best bet is Netflix originals. There's a chat service called like "rabbit" or something like that which lets you stream netflix, youtube, and probably others in a communal chat room of up to like 10 people. That would take care of any regional issues 2

Eerongal he/him Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 :o :o Gonna go check this out I personally have never looked into it, just heard about it, but it seems like it would be perfect and fix a lot of the issues of "everyone watch this movie at the same time!" brings with it 1
Left he/him Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Sorry guys, something came up, and I'm winding up having a date tonight so I won't be able to participate 2
Guest Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Okay . . . But still . . . For next week, I vote Emperor's New Groove. OMG I love that movie! It is so ridiculous it gets unbelievably funny. Have a good movie night
RippleGylf she/her Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Unfortunately, I also won't be there. Have fun!
RippleGylf she/her Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 I hate to double post, but are we doing one this week?
Patar he/him Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 I wouldn't be against it. I'm not sure if I will have plans or not, but I'll try and make it! Any ideas for movies?
